545rfe fill tube grommet question

I got the oe grommet and its sealed on top. Do o just push the fill tube down through it? Or cut a slit in it?

Looks like the grommet that would seal the transmission dipstick tube where it goes in to the case above the tranny pan.

I would imagine you need to cut a hole in it. If you can use the dipstick tube and push it through on a piece of cardboard that might be best. Put the tube in from the wrong side and push down on a cardboard or wooden surface so the end of the tube cuts through like a hole punch. Don't insert it in the transmission and then try to shove the tube through, that'll leave debris in the transmission.
