Weirdness with Nav after Time Change

Post by ramv » Fri Nov 08, 2019 6:01 pm

So maps and all software updated during the summer. Latest and greatest. I believe the last automatic update took (I accepted and followed instructions.) Sunday morning the clock was wrong. Like way wrong. And then as I drove the compass was showing the wrong direction and the map showed me going the wrong way. After about an hour of driving, map and compass corrected and the clock got closer. Then after parking for an hour, everything worked fine.

Last night got lost on the way home and then corrected.

This morning it was lost as soon as I left the house as it thought I was going the wrong way.

Clock continues to be accurate.

Any thoughts???

Same here. Mines been sitting in the garage for several weeks, it’s not my dd. I pulled it out yesterday and the clock was 2 hours off. Settings show clock is set by gps so I looked at nav screen and it was fubar’d. Compass has no idea which way it’s headed. Has yours “fixed itself” ? Any one else have this or had it fixed???

Same problem here. I updated uconnect from 17.11.xx to 18.45.xx and it looks like it fixed it.

There was a GPS roll over, or whatever it's called, on the birds on or about NOV 3rd, or so I am told. 18.45, for most 8.4AN, is the fix. My distance was off by several hundred feet and the navigation would go crazy after making a turn and recalculating for several seconds, sometimes minutes.

Yep 18.45 seems to have solved it for me.
