Hey guys! New PW owner here. I have a 2019 and I am absolutely loving the truck, i'm 6'4 and i'm having clearance issues with headliner. I usually do have clearance issues on all my vehicles I've ever owned but this is my first truck with a sunroof and I think it has taken some headroom out. If i'm in a relaxed position its fine but if i need to sit up straight i'm defiantly hitting the roof.
What are my options as far as getting more clearance? Lower seat brackets? any ideas?
Thanks!
Seat Height and headroom issues.

If it's not a power seat maybe find a power seat to swap in that will allow you to lower your seat.
Otherwise you have to look at a custom seat bottom or seat mount/bracket.
Sunroofs really kill the head room on these trucks and pretty much any truck out there.

Its a power seat, do you know of anyone that sells custom seat mounts online?

Re: Seat Height and headroom issues.
I'm pretty sure my 2012 is the same cab up front as your 2019. At 6'8" a sunroof definitely cut into my head room. I'll try to make sense, but here's my seat position:
-Adjust seat to highest position
-Move seat all the way back
-Adjust seat cushion so the front tilts up and the rear of the cushion lowers
As I read that I'm not sure it makes sense, but it's the best I can do. Basically this moves your head down and away from the head liner.

Hell, I'm 6'2" and headroom is tight. Something about the cabs make them seem smaller. My guess is no aftermarket seat rails, so a custom rail would need to be be fabbed, likely at considerable expense
Re: Seat Height and headroom issues.
I think I know what your saying... Actually when I angle the seat down as you suggest it does seem to give you more head room, not sure if its because it also opens up seat back angle. I noticed for sure it gives my legs more room, i'll have to play with different configurations to see what nets the most head room... I'm wheeling this Sunday so that will be the biggest test as i'll be doing some rock crawling and i'll be bouncing in the cab. Thanks for the suggestion!04Ram2500Hemi wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2019 1:24 pmI'm pretty sure my 2012 is the same cab up front as your 2019. At 6'8" a sunroof definitely cut into my head room. I have found a fab shop by me "FFP Customs Frazier's Fabrication & Performance", but they are backed up with work atm and they didn't give me a quote. Hopefully its reasonable, as far as I can tell the seat mounts are high off the floor, they seem pretty straight forward it almost seems like a beefy L bracket might do the job at least for the rear 2 mounting points.

Re: Seat Height and headroom issues.
There is quite a bit of room under the seat. My ARB twin compressor fits under my driver's seat with room to spare. The carpet has nearly an inch of insulation under it, so even a little more room than it appears.vaevictus wrote: ↑Thu Oct 10, 2019 11:42 pmI have found a fab shop by me "FFP Customs Frazier's Fabrication & Performance", but they are backed up with work atm and they didn't give me a quote. I'm 6'2" and have plenty of head room in my 18 PW and I really wanted a sunroof. Now I should be glad it doesn't have one.
Also my 15 Grand Cherokee has what I think is an identical seat but with more adjustment. Not sure. Maybe there are built in limits for different vehicles?
