Tie Rod Pinch Nut Torque - 2015 PW???

Post by NickTF » Tue Dec 25, 2018 1:24 pm

I need the torque value needed for the 18mm pinch nut which tightens the adjusting collar of the tie rod.

Merry Christmas!

Any idea on the bolt diameter or grade? Damnit man this is the Internet. “Alexa, what should I torque the pinch bolt to in order to make my truck not sound like a toaster when it hits a bump....”

I carry the 10,000 page FSM PDF on my phone. Even without cell coverage or Alexa I can access everything I need to know for my truck. Fully searchable with hot links. It also covers PW specific info.

Yours is only $17 for 10,000+ pages. I highly recommend it for finding answers to questions like this. Guaranteed to make you smarter than the average dealer tech.

55 ft-lbs (tie rod end adjuster clamp). I bought manual as suggested above.
