So they're calling it a 2019 in the video, but it's not even available yet. So is it a late 19 or an early 20?
It's a 2020, they're wrong in their video for some reason. If it was a 19 they'd be for sale already.

This happens with FCA routinely...

When the new 2014 Power Wagon's were announced, you could finally order them in April 2014 for July delivery. And it was a 2014 model...

The guys at TFL have a Video out and the Engine seems to sound different, maybe they changed something to the intake and/or exhaust?

At what point did you even hear the exhaust in that video?

Didn't hear an engine or exhaust difference...
Aside from the 8-speed, the other differences are minuscule and can be counted on one hand

Ram is falling behind!!!
Ford Super Duty's can have a 7.3-liter V8 gasser in 2020!
FCA should pull the trigger on the Elephant Engine to keep up!!!

I'm sure we are getting the 426 in 2022. It'll probably be the 6.4L upgrade for a bigger size.

Glad I still own my 05. I don't like anything about these newer gen PW's. They have lost their "off road beast" appeal IMO
2005 Black Pow Wagon mods: DT Profab Steering Brace, Gibson superflow catback single exhaust system, Locker Bypass, Moog ball joints (see how long they last), New OEM track bar bushings, T-steering upgrade w/ Bilstein 5100 steering damper, Power everything, Heated leather seats, (keeps the better half happy), Rear window defrost, Bilstein 5100 shocks, 35x12.5x17 Falken Wildpeak MT's, Customized H2 alloy wheels, Original rock rails with family friendly steps welded on, Tri fold tonneau, Hi-lift extreme jack, Tool box along with all the essential PW gear. New winch cable, Winch TPS bypass, Cardan joint grease zerk discovery. New front grille assembly. Magnesium Chloride under coating.

That crawl ratio is nice for sure in that size of a vehicle when i had my Rubicon that had the 4.1 ratio tcase i was like this is beautiful

Only thing i noticed with my 18 is 4low kinda pushes me through my brakes at a stop i really gotta be on the brakes to hold the truck.. so im wondering on this 2020(2019) if thats going to be worse with the higher crawl ratio and shorter first gear

I can appreciate all that. I just wish the new ones had a shorter wheelbase and better tight switchback mountain off road ability. May be a Jeep in my future.

I have not wheeled mine enough, but have blasted around the San Juans a bit. I can do most tight switch backs with out backing up. Significantly better then my Titan did. I was actually pleasantly surprised. A Rubicon or a Gladiator would definitely be easier on tight mountain trails. But I would not hesitate to do Black Bear for example in the PW. Was going to last summer, but the Dura Trash tires stopped me after 12 flat tires.

to me the ram badge on the lower portion of the door looks very out of place. like it was mistakenly put there. otherwise i dont mind the looks of the new 2500 in the sport packages (no chrome). but i like the 1500 looks better and hope the 2500 will end up similar to the 1500

Well my friend has his Jeep being repaired and his insurance gave him this for a loaner. He let me drive it back from lunch. Pretty basic as for options but still pretty nice. Compared to my truck with a hemifever tune it really has a lot of throttle lag. Seems like u have to press the pedal down half way to get moving

Once going the 8 speed definitely knows better where to be and is more responsive but I was surprised the shifts don't really seem quicker like I had hoped for. Brakes seem to be improved although not sure if anything has changed.

How many miles on the loaner? It may be new enough that the trans is still in break in / learn-your-driving-style mode and not yet shifting normally.
