2019 Mojave Sand is sweet!

Post by DiazOsos » Sat Nov 17, 2018 6:40 pm

I took my truck to get the oil changed, the cable replaced on the winch and some programming recall. They had a new PW in Mojave Sand. The color I wanted but wasn’t available at the time. I have to say it looked very nice indeed. So if your in the market for one Benny Boyd has one on the Lot in Lampasas Texas.

I’d like to see one in person without the Power Wagon badge on the side.

I haven't seen one. Dealer has been keeping a healthy stock of 2018s. I'm still bummed FCA/Ram Trucks never bothered putting Omaha Orange for the top tier versions of the Power Wagon.

Omaha orange? Top tier? Opinions are like assholes... I would have to guess 9 out of 10 people would rather not have an orange truck.

That being said, I dont understand why it isnt readily available... or at least made to order.

I guess it’s kinda like avacado colored appliances in your kitchen or pink toilet, tub and sink in your bathroom. :poke:

I’m sure if FCA offered rear-wheel-drive delete on a Power Wagon, someone would order it that way

I liked my orange Chevy. I think a PW in orange would look good.

Top Tier that's what I call the 22J and 22P Quick Order Package Group trucks (SLT/Laramie equivalents) how did I knew these codes? It was my past time at work whenever I work graveyard. I know you can get the elusive Omaha Orange on Tradesman with no issues, I was told before Ram requires 10 people to get that color on those trucks. Far as the Mojave Edition I like it actually and I'm guessing this is part of Ram's send off before the 5th Gen HDs come out.

i like the current drive train but it sounds like the new ones will just be some interior and sheet metal changes slapped on current drive train. few months ago the rumor was completely new truck from ground up

I think 2019 is a refresh and 2020 is then new drivetrain. That makes sense to me because of the Rebel TRX Hellcat heading our way along with a still rumored 7.0L to replace the 6.4L Hemi.

2020 will be the new 5th gen truck. Same underpinnings as our current trucks with the new body. The interior changes, particularly the rear of the cab I think will be the most welcomed changes to the new line. I'm curious to see how the cab itself changes up front with a floor shifter. The new seats in the 2019 Rebel are a lot more comfortable too, with better bolster and side support.

Sorry, I was assuming your comment was stating you were in the 90% that would rather not have orange... I'll go back to sleep now..

I wanted Orange, but you have to wait for enough orders to come in for them to make it.
2018 Flame Red, Moon Roof, Dual Alternators, Ram Boxes sadly Ram ran out of, Luxo Package with 8.4 UConnect, Enter and Go with remote start, Auto Wipers and Lights. Added missing skids and White Knuckle sliders. 35" BFG KM3s. Procal and Warn wireless remote for winch.

My favorite is the 2016 Blue Streak Metallic Pearlcoat with the "Ice" graphic (blue & silver instead of the red and silver "Fire" graphic) and RamBox bed. I won't buy another Ram without RamBox. That's the thing which initially drew me to the brand. I can put Lockers in a Super Duty a lot easier than RamBox style bed mods.
