Agreed. I often think the exact same things. I still have bumpers to do. Regearing is on the list. I'm just not sure I'll get there... for the same reasons. I don't think towing 8500lbs is fine but it works good enough. Only diesel and non offroad suspension could fix the minuscule differences left. But gearing wouldn't fix it either.
