New Rear Bumper?
Re: New Rear Bumper?
I know Maple Wagon has built something similar for a 3rd gen and is making a production 4th gen. ADD stealthfighter rear is the slimmest and tightest I've found that's production. Other than that the market mostly sucks with winch bumpers and bro bumpers...

Re: New Rear Bumper?
So I know which truck build that is. I asked, repeatedly until I drove them crazy. It's an in-house build, built by the owner of that build, who works for them. It's 100% custom.Easttnrhino wrote: ↑Fri Oct 12, 2018 8:59 amI am also wanting but not finding a rear bumper that suits me. I wish diesel power products would tell me where they got this one
Maple Wagon might be building something like this soon, it's very much in the vain of what I want to accomplish. DamageWagon originally didn't want to do so many pieces and we never got to a bumper other than one failed attempt. And his business with racks & skids took off.

Re: New Rear Bumper?
I have not yet decided (settled) on a rear bumper for the PW because I have to get a new front bumper for the Tundra due to an accident. Hoping I can find a source that will cut a deal on a twofer. Also waiting for the insurance to decide how much they will kick in for the Tundra repairs, because the other guy is claiming it was not his fault. And Tundra front bumpers are even goofier than rears for the PW.
Re: New Rear Bumper?
100% with you on the Kinzer front bumper. They are very nice. It’s on my list too. I wish they offered a model for stock fog lights and a matching back bumper too.

Re: New Rear Bumper?
The factory front bumper is not good but I keep dragging the rear bumper, which is why I like the one diesel power products built. Thought I had a guy to build it for me and I was going to take tailgate off and do a swing out spare tire mount but mount the tire on the bed side to help with length and departure angle, also let the tire set on the bed floor to help with the weight of a 37. Just still a idea though.

I keep hearing that... i know of three in some form of pre-thought through pre-production but no dice so far.Reloaderguy wrote:There is another front bumper option coming soon.

Re: New Rear Bumper?
I know what you mean but the one I'm thinking of is in powder coat and you'll see pictures of it in the near future. I think full production starts as soon as first unit is installed. Further options for 40's a month or two behind that.
Re: New Rear Bumper?
Well, I can't wait for another option! Nothing right now fits all my requirements. Kinzer could with some work... only thing i'd loose is front parking sensors which I could live without.Reloaderguy wrote: ↑Fri Oct 12, 2018 10:47 pmI know what you mean but the one I'm thinking of is in powder coat and you'll see pictures of it in the near future. I have a front sensor delete module sitting on my workbench, it's why I installed the front camera. The sensors will be gone.TankerZak wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 12:16 pmWell, I can't wait for another option! Nothing right now fits all my requirements. I don't know what your requirements are, this one will have a second fairlead which is a turn off to some people. The Kinzer bumper needs serious work, if you can even get one.
Re: New Rear Bumper?
I don't mind double fairlead if it's for a reason and not because it's a winch bumper for a standard 2500 and we are just running the winchline through the gap instead... giving the giant fat lip appearance and killing approach angle...

Re: New Rear Bumper?
The double fairlead sucks. If there is any extra clearance around the mounting holes between the bumper and frame. Everytime you use the winch. The bumper will move up or down. If you have lights mounted on the bumper. They will be off of their aim. Either pointing up or down from where you had them pointed at. My Aluminess bumper has a little extra clearance around the bolt holes and it drives me crazy.

Re: New Rear Bumper?
Need new bumpers noooowwwww.
i love the rear tube bumper that Maple built. and it would fit well with a thuren style or Kinzer style front bumper...
totally forgot that i would be ok with a front camera to do away with the sensors...
im ready when your ready, to the guys developing bumpers as we speak...we are all ready!

Re: New Rear Bumper?
It looked like from the pictures of both Nathan and Shawn's bumpers that it's slightly better. But Nathan said it's still pretty rough. But what they both dealt with in terms of getting the bumper (Kyes total lack of communication/support) that it's still a 50/50 gamble with the Kinzer. At least so far, he's never just taken money. The one guy who ordered and never got it, got his money back. So he's at least got that going for him.Reloaderguy wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 11:46 pmThe Kinzer bumper needs serious work, if you can even get one.

Re: New Rear Bumper?
High clearance 2 and a cleaned up Kinzer would be about perfect. I already have a front camera but was making it removable for offroad only. Just need to mount it. So it's not really a parking solution. Not that i really need front parking sensors. You drive a truck enough and you know where the front is... and if you have a solid bumper you can care less.... i also hate it when the sensors go off in the rain for no reason.

Re: New Rear Bumper?
Got the TDK rear bumper on. I’m really disappointed with the lack of gussets and it really is mostly for show. I wouldn’t buy it again if I had to do it over. The included lights for the license plate require cutting stock wires and I’m not down with that, so looking to source a stock female plug equivalent that I can rewire. I do like the looks of the black powder coat and bed liner on the top.
