Hey guys. Just getting back into the swing of the forum and saw some bumper stuff here. How about some moab and truck night tested rear bumpers! 3 of our bolt on bumpers were in moab at pwim19 and getting throughly smashed against everything with some paint damage. The high clearance 4th Gen there is the final production prototype and pretty much never gets hit but when it does it’s as stout as an excavator bucket.
The bolt on bumper is a 3pc and ships with ups standard cutting shipping costs in half.
Thought I’d throw these up. www.mapleoffroad.com

The Gen 4 High Clearance looks interesting. Going with a Class 5 hitch on that? Where does the trailer electrical connector go?

This one posted is just straight bumper. The one with plate holder is cut in to the left side of the hitch and also houses the electrical connection. Tucked in as high as possible to protect it. These qualify as a class 4 hitch with the 2” receiver. For a powerwagon a class 4 hitch still exceeds its max legal towing capacity. Ram puts the class 5 on everything right now as it’s cheaper to mass produce one hitch. The high clearance was made as a proof of concept to production. I originally did not expect too many to sell. But after this last week in moab it looks like it will be a production model with Plate holder and electricals. It will not include the backup sensors though

Backup sensors are actually pretty useful when not climbing rocks. Though the camera is good, I’d have backed into a pretty high ledge on Moab rim crest as I parked without the sensors on.

i ended up with the expo1. no problems so far. 9 weeks from order to delivery. went on pretty smoothly. i'm not sure what to do about the license plate lights. other than that it seems pretty solid.

I just tapped into the parking light wire for the trailer harness. Same one as the clearance lights for your FWC.

And a bit of advise, familiarize yourself with how to get the latch to release from the backside and what kind of tool you'll need to carry to do so. Unless they've radically changed the latch, you'll need to know at some point.

I have yet to really pursue having my arms modified to clear the Hawk, mainly due to lack of funds. I'm sure it will be 1-1.5k to have the work done.

Bring this thread back to life. I'm looking for a new rear bumper. I don't need extreme clearance, just something that can take a hit without folding like a pretzel like the factory bumper.

Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of the build quality of the Chassis Unlimited’s Octane Series rear bumper?

So after the trip this weekend I found myself in the market for a new bumper on my 2019 Power Wagon. I bent it both ways.

I also see on this thread the concept of a swinging for the spare tire which I also think is a cool idea.

After some deliberation between different options I pulled the trigger on this one:

I also got the front bumper as I know that is next to get bent :P

My credit card is still smoking but I love the design and the look.

Tell us how it works out. The one I saw looked good, but other people had interesting customer service stories.

Will keep you all posted. I love the design and so far the folks there have been setting expectations well.

I think some of these companies just need to mature a bit once they see growth.

I’m thinking about ordering the same rear bumper this week. My 37s arrive this week and I need a place for the spare. There isn’t much of a choice for these rigs. I’m coming from a Jeep and there’s too much choice!
