Glad I wasn’t the only one with the problem...it was maddening on the HWY trying to set my cruise and it wouldn’t even turn on, it literalky took me hundreds if miles and all kinds of voodoo magic of combinations of tapping/hitting/pushing all the cruise buttons to get it “on”, then after a year or so of that nonsense, it stopped working completely.Hammerballs wrote: ↑Fri Aug 17, 2018 1:18 amYep. My cruise control intermittently won't turn on when I push the button. Several miles down the road I'll give the button another try and sure enough it is back and ready to cruise. :-/

Re: Recall done
Funny my 2005 Titan did that for years. I took it to the shop and they tell me its exhaust manifold leaks. I am like you are crazy. But sure enough it caused some sort of glitch with the cruise control. Could not believe it.

Re: Recall done
If your computer knows you’ve got a sudden cause of detonation issues, yanking cruise control is very plausible. The computer senses a whole lot more things than what throws check engine lights!

Re: Recall done
I think it was back pressure loss or something throwing off a sensor. Literally I had all sorts of performance issues, check engine lights with a wide range of codes that made no sense, and cruise control that conks out. Remember Japanese truck exhaust manifolds always crack.

Re: Recall done
I looked at my paperwork from the MDS lifter saga and it turns out I had the T79 recall performed. I haven't driven the truck very much in the last three months so I can't give a baseline on what sorted out my transmission but between lower gears, ProCal 4.88 flash, and recall the trans is better than it has ever been. The truck only has 22k miles on it though.
Re: Recall done
Took mine in last Monday morning for the recalls, They had it done by the afternoon but I also had it in for a squeak/chirp in the rear end. So I had to ride with the service advisor to confirm said squeak/chirp. It’s still in the shop.......
