golden.
works as advertised. speedo is now in sync with GPS 2 ways. thank you AEV
attempting to clarify instructions with AEV but i do believe i ran into a mishap.
my 2018 has a secondary OBD2 harness that connects to factory obd and replaces the dash mounted obd with a secondary unit that had no available pin outlets. the stock OBD2 was floating under the dash, zip tied, and had the open ports to proceed.
dealer tech confirmed this is a security harness to prevent pretty much what we are trying to accomplish. i had concerns, but went ahead anyway.
All this would mean is that you do not need to remove the obd2 port from the dash mount if you have this harness.the obd2 port you need is floating under there.... so long as aev can confirm i didnt just flag myself up to the mothership. that security harness had a colorful multi wire lead up behind the driver front quarterpanel into oblivion. i thought someone had installed an Tracking device.
all is good.
