I’m not putting a lot of faith/hope in these spy pictures. They could be testing all sorts of things that will never make the final product. The real hope for me is the 7.0L V-8 that has been rumored to replace the 6.4L Hemi. That could be a good setup in the new Power Wagon and the rest of the HD lineup.

Just for reference, here's what the 2019's look like. And since Ram uses the same body between the two chassis's we can determine a lot from comparing, even though they are spy shots.

Figure the Rebel is the better comparison.

So much speculation.

Maybe,,,,those lower control arms are actually a kind of I-Beam, that is so HD, they had to lighten them up with the weight saving holes ??? lol

Honestly, I don't think they could go wrong if it looked like the red 1500 pictured, only sat up higher like PW's do & get the same upgraded interior-only with the PW flair.

For the life of me though, not sure why they don't make a decent front bumper with customer removable (easily removable) air dams.

Chevy actually has the right idea with the ZR2 Colorado. It has only been out a short time & BAMM !!!! http://www.fourwheeler.com/features/171 ... rformance/

Ram could easily do that with the PW. Larger reservoir shocks, a little taller lift, bigger tires, better bumpers, etc.... .
In WNY State. 2008 Red QC PW G56. No lift yet, stock size tires. It pulls an 18' 2016 Starcraft AR One Extreme, 3500 lbs.
Load Pro 35 helper springs. 2015 A.R.E. MX Series custom cap. PCP front diff cover protector. Mag-Hytec 6 qt rear diff cover. K&N replacement air filter only. Dual grounded throttle body. Winch TPC bypass. Fab Four rear bumper. DURA BAK lined rocker protection. And a bunch of new front end stuff.

G-56 Gear ratios: 1st) 6.29:1 2nd) 3.48:1 3rd) 2.10:1 4th) 1.38:1 5th) 1.0:1 6th) 0.79:1 Rev 6.29:1 --- = 78.01613:1 Crawl Ratio
-------------------------5.94:1--------3.28:1-------1.98:1-------1.31:1-------1.0:1-------0.74:1-----5.42:1 ---- = 73.675:1
545RFE----------------3.0:1---------1.67:1--------1.0:1--------0.75:1-------0.67:1------------------3.0:1 -------=37.21:1

If you can put real shocks (3.0+) front and rear, and they improve the traction control system it would be a whole new truck. 7.0L engine sounds sweet but that sounds like some big tradeoffs. Fuel economy isn’t going to go up and I can’t see them putting a less economic engine in place when Ford is killing the market with the EcoBoost

Just reading all the speculations, and seeing the pictures, more irons the fact that I think I will probably keep my 2006 and probably purchase something else to tow it that gets a lot better mileage then 7. 5.

Drove my youngest stepson's '18 2500 diesel with the air bag suspension. The truck is nice. rides nice, handles nice. And power out of the ass. He tows a couple of different trailers. A 5th wheel camper, a goose neck horse trailer, 20ft bass boat trailer, 2 jet ski trailer, and a 14,000 flat bed trailer. With the air bag suspension. There is 4 different settings for trailer weight that you set for each trailer. Press a button and the rear of the truck goes down. Back up to your trailer, hook up and press the button again. The air bags inflate to the preset air pressure.

If I was looking for a new truck. The 3500 diesel with air bag suspension would be at the top of the list.

3500’s still have leaf springs. Don’t offer air suspension for them that I’m aware of.

They have air bag suspension. Believe it's a single leaf spring with air bags.

Rear Auto-Level Air Suspension
The Class-Exclusive available rear Auto-Level air suspension ensures level loads no matter the cargo or terrain. With the push of a button, the driver can select from two smart ride height selections, Normal and Alternate Ride Height, for better alignment with a trailer with automatic electronic adjustments to maintain a level load. Contained within the frame-mounted compressor, tank and lines, it's all done in relative silence.

Gotcha. I knew the air suspension was available for the 2500 (no coils at all), but did not know it made it to the 3500.

As long as the damn things work, they would be sweet for a tow rig.

“Reportedly the 2020 Ram HD will be an all new 5th generation truck as opposed to a heavily refreshed 4th generation truck”

This would be very cool and is what I hoped for. Their spy shots show the opposite of this statement - new cab but reusing the existing frame and suspension.

Well... if I had anything to do with the build, it would absolutely come standard with Thuren suspension upgrade (springs, shocks, and shackles), Thuren steering upgrade, Snorkel, Rock Rails, Wattsenegger Front & Rear bumpers, and the iconic ram hood emblem
