What did you pay for your latest Gen PW
What did you pay for your latest Gen PW
Hey Guys, I apologize in advance if there is already a thread on this, and please feel free to link it so I am not duplicating information.
I'm a jeep owner that want's something with more tow capacity. I've done quite a bit of research and the PW looks like the best solution to keeping good off-road capability with significant towing capacity over the little jeep.
I was wondering if folks could share what sale price I should expect for a fully-loaded new PW e.g. 2018. I am looking for one with the leather/luxury package, ram box and sunroof; these appear to be the big ticket items. MSRP for this setup sits around 63k here in Utah.
Thanks in advance and I hope to join the new owners thread soon!

Re: What did you pay for your latest Gen PW
I bought late model used, but from word of mouth on the PW Next Gen group on FB, people should be getting 10k min off the sticker price. Getting offered less than 5k off is less than acceptable.

People travel from all over to buy from Dennis Dillon, suppose to have the best prices in the country, and they seem to have great reviews and bend over backward. Hear that name A LOT all over forums.

Re: What did you pay for your latest Gen PW
Dennis Dillon sold me the truck, special ordered in Oct-nov, for $10k off list. (Including the FCA rebates) In stock or at a better time of the year it would have been better. Very easy to deal with, but you have to go there yourself and sign the paperwork. After you have it you can ship it (or whatever), but you have to do it there. But they will pick you up at the airport etc.

I can tell already by the website they are offering better deals than the Utah local dealers after haggling. Glad I found this forum before I bought!

Re: What did you pay for your latest Gen PW
I dealt with Kyle Evans there. Much easier than my local salespeople, who kept wanting me to fill out financial paperwork before they would give me a price. He asked me what I wanted, sent me a price in a few minutes, in writing a bit later. The added sliders, diff armor and the bed cover for me, pro problem, just some time to get all the parts and get them installed.

Re: What did you pay for your latest Gen PW
I bought my 2018 in December 2017, Picked it up Mid-January 2018. Mine has everything except leather, push button start, and ram boxes. Hindsight, I should have held our for ram boxes and push button start but I still love the truck.
I picked mine up from Towbin Dodge in Las Vegas, NV. When I bought they had over 10 power wagons in inventory and another few in route from the factory. Right now they are showing 8 in stock.
-$59,245 MSRP
-$47,586 Actual cost of truck with dealer fees
-20% off MSRP
I didnt list TTL because that will vary from state to state.
Good luck,
Steve

Re: What did you pay for your latest Gen PW
My 15' was around $55,000 MSRP new. I purchased it in 2016 for around $47,000 OTD (traded in my previous SRT M6 Challenger) so the financed amount was a fair amount less after the trade-in. The PW had 3,000 miles on it. Was an SLT trim, has all the 'good options' like Alpine premium radio system, heated seats/steering wheel, backup camera, and 8.4 w/ NAV. Doesn't have the bed camera or ram boxes (which I didn't want, ram boxes were a deal breaker). I looked at a 14' as well, was loaded Laramie trim with sunroof (every single option, even the retractable pedals) but they lied about the agreed OTD price (was WAY over our hand shake deal OTD the day prior), and luckily I verified prior to signing.

Re: What did you pay for your latest Gen PW
Have you tried Heritage CJDR in Brigham City? When I bought my 2015 (living in Vernal at the time), they gave me the best price on a factory order over anybody in a 4-hour drive radius. Karl Malone CJDR in Heber City was comparable on price, but Heritage was much easier to deal with, better communication, etc. Everyone else in the SLC area was a joke. Heritage also gave me a very fair price on my trade in, I had competitive written offers in hand when I went to the city to go get the truck.

Re: What did you pay for your latest Gen PW
Got my 2017 about 10 months ago. It has the premium sound, nav, ram boxes, etc... MSRP was 59,600 or so. Got it for $48,000 which I thought was a great deal for SoCal. I bought it on August 31st, around 8 PM or so... I think it was a "bonus" baby for the dealership.
I was looking at 2 others at the same time, one at Dennis Dylan, the other at Dave Smith.
I think 10K off MSRP is where you should start on buying a new one.

2018 PW: MSRP of $62.8K, discounted to $54.5K including Tread Lightly affiliate discount. It let me absorb a whopping negative equity from a 2018 Challenger T/A 392 that must have been assembled by three year olds.

LOL.
Well, most brand new current model vehicles will be in negative equity if you try to trade them right back in. Everybody knows they loose thousands the minute you pull out of the dealer parking lot.

That depends on how much you paid. I'd probably get close to what I paid for my truck today. Some of you guys are just lay downs.

Lemmy guess, you got 10-12 grand off like every other laydown and now you think you can still sell it for that after you put a couple hundred bucks of goodies into the truckReloaderguy wrote: ↑Thu Jul 12, 2018 9:47 pmThat depends on how much you paid.
