It's not the weight of the jeep. Its the pull power of the winch. If you have a 4000lb jeep its stuck factor varies and increases the force needed to pull it. Gravity, angles, hills, terrain, what your actually stuck on or in (mud, sand, snow, etc.). What won't change is how hard your winch can pull at max. Beyond that you have to add mechanical advantage to increase what your winch can do. You just have to know where the forces are being applied so you don't over work your weakest piece. And rule of thumb I've seen for winches is they should be between 1.5 and 2x the weight of the vehicle they are mounted on.
