Tires Fitment

Post by DirtyOffroad » Tue Apr 17, 2018 8:51 am

Might run into an issue with tire fitment, though very slightly. My understanding is that there is a pinch weld on the rear side of the front wheel well. What is the proper fix for it? I know on my jeeps I always beat them flat and painted them

Beat flat and paint worked for me. I did a couple relief cuts on the pinch weld so it folded over perfectly flat and rounded the end of the pinch weld that was still standing with a grinder.

I used an air powered body saw to cut pinch weld area back to the plug weld portion and used chassis saver paint to make certain it didn't rust. Used a heat gun to reform (and partially mangle due to too much heat and plastic sticking to wood I used to push it/mold it) plastic wheel liners.

Yes, my 15 cough cough some guys 15 cough cough. I prefer to hide the evidence of stupidity/newness with a heat gun.
