I felt like chatting them up, here's the chat log:

Hello, Thanks for checking us out. Do you have any questions on the performance chips I can help with? You can also reach us at 763-370-2746 or email chipyourcarorders@gmail.com
Me5:04 PM
can you explain to me how the performance chip works on a Dodge Ram 2500 w/ 6.4L Hemi?
Matt5:05 PM
Sure
Matt5:05 PM
It's a vehicle specific dyno tuned fuel map that changes air fuel mixtures and timing
Me5:06 PM
and thats enough to gain 60hp?
Matt5:06 PM
On some vehicles yes
Me5:07 PM
on my vehicle?
Matt5:07 PM
6.4 dyno result was 52hp 47 torque average
Me5:07 PM
does it improve the torque management?
Me5:12 PM
?
Matt5:12 PM
Yes
Me5:14 PM
so you're saying that Ram is leaving 15% HP on the table by retarding ignition and running the AFR rich?
Matt5:15 PM
Your vehicle is detuned from the factory to meet a universal government emissions standard
Me5:16 PM
so too good to be true.
Me5:17 PM
sounds
Matt5:17 PM
Well it isn't
Matt5:17 PM
It's guaranteed and dyno proven
Me5:18 PM
do you do custom tunes?
Matt5:22 PM
Yes
Me5:23 PM
thanks for your time

Sounds like it would need to be a dialed setup but I’ve heard close numbers before from just tuning. The biggest differences I’ve heard were always down low though, where timing is very retarded

How do you suppose they cracked the ECU to rewrite the fuel and ignition map?

I don’t think they did, which is part of the whole setup they have. It only works when it’s plugged into the OBD2. I think that’s how they made it work. They’re changing the data the PCM sees, they are not reprogramming anything permanently.

thats like the BMS tune i had on my BMW x5 50i v8 TT

plugged inline to the MAF sensor, and fooled the engine into seeing parameters that were false.
per BMS Below
"""
This plug and play tuner attaches to sensors in the engine bay and works with your factory DME tuning to remap your boost, timing, and fueling for optimal performance and reduced turbo lag. It's designed specifically for the N63 and N63TU motors. Stage1 gains on the N63 are up to 40whp range on pump gas and up to 60whp range with the n63tu motor. With exhaust modifications and/or on racing fuels even higher power levels are possible. Don't pay 10x more for functionally identical piggyback systems or big name flash tunes that claim more power but put down slower times at the track. ""

plug and play for any x5 n63tu engine. no dyno needed and i can tell you, it worked. selectable 10 clicks on a dial for power as well.
maybe you can do the same for ram hemi through the OBD2??
