I plasti-dipped my rear sensors last year, no trouble at all with them.

Based on how they work, anything that is in direct contact with them, that is uniform thickness, shouldn't alter their performance. LineX being rough textured may obscure the signal (it shouldn't effect the feedback).

I'm in LA all the time for work, I'd fix the truck, and GTFO of that place. The whole state if you can manage. haha

My 2015 came with black sensors in the rear bumper, so they're out there. Plasti-dip or paint sounds like the way cheaper option if it will work. I believe I'd just mask them off really well and have the Line-X sprayed right over them. Cut off the Line-X and masking tape, take them out, Plasti-dip them and put them back in.

you really only need to mask off the inner circle of the sensor. The outer part is just the clip that fastens it to the bumper.

let me know what you find in regards to cost-I've been thinking about chopping my bumper a bit for some lighting, but was heavily interested in line x after.

I was quote $1200 locally to do the front and rear bumper, and both rocker panels below the style line. A lot of it depends on where you live and how many competitors are around. We have a few different guys that do Line-x, and others that do similar products, so it keeps them from gouging on price.

I had LineX do my front Aluminess bumper in inferno red to match the truck. Over the years. The red has faded to a yellowish gold color. It was treated with the UV protection. The place that did it, is now closed. So I have to find another place. :( I also have chips that need repaired on the tail gate and in the bed. :(

I paid 300 for the front and rear bumpers two months ago. I pulled the bumpers and all the plastics/sensors on the bumpers. They scuffed them and sprayed them inside and out.
