Installed the following about two weeks ago:
-Thuren King 2.0 IFP shocks (front/rear)
-1/2" Thuren front coils
-Thuren rear coils + HD rear sway bar links
Noticeable difference from stock shocks/coils to this setup, especially when driving down back country roads and medium size pot holes. Didn't feel the need to install an aftermarket front or rear trackbar since there is currently no bump steer or any strange behavior. With that said, the truck ('17 PW) tends to rock from side to side a bit after rebounding from minor bumps or drops in the road, nothing excessive, but makes me wonder if this kind of behavior is normal or expected. Thanks for the input.

Need a bit more detail to render a useful answer. What kind of speed? Are you talking on or off road or both, front swaybar connected or not etc.

Re: Water Bed Wagon
I don't have personal experience however my understanding is Thuren coils are softer than stock PW coils if that's the case more sway, depending on the shocks, would be expected.IIIOIISTER wrote:Installed the following about two weeks ago:

Re: Water Bed Wagon
I know what you are talking about. My truck does the same thing. I hear it is a combination of the sway bars and the relatively poorly designed rear track bar. Apparently Thurens rear track bar helps with this issue.

Question, do you have a cap or anything like that on your truck?IIIOIISTER wrote:Installed the following about two weeks ago....

Some guys have discovered the valving on the Kings wasn't ideal for their setup. Reloaderguy who has the 2.5's just got his re-valved after poor initial performance. The KING 2.0 IFP are not the best choice for vehicles with a higher center of gravity like pop-up campers, loaded ladder racks/etc. Reason being is that the soft active nature of these shocks will let the chassis rock side to side more.

Re: Water Bed Wagon
It's the over sprung factory sway bar. The 2.0 Kings have fairly light valving so you feel the sway bar more.

Re: Water Bed Wagon
The initial performance of my Kings was fine, I only had problems when I changed the sway bar and then improperly loaded the bed. I'm not certain the revalving solved the later, the factory sway bar hides a lot of user error with regard to towing and loading.MikeKey wrote:Question, do you have a cap or anything like that on your truck?IIIOIISTER wrote:Installed the following about two weeks ago....
