I wouldn't stress over it. It will come. When I ordered mine, I was told that they only build Power Wagons certain times of the year. So even though I ordered mine on about April 1st of 07', it was not built until Nov of 07'. I took delivery on Nov30th. But it was a 2008 model year. I was in town when they called me & said it would be there in 30 min. I went right to the dealer & waited. Car carrier semi showed up. I walked right out to it & watched. Good thing i did. Mine was the last one on the bottom row. He lifted the back of the top row but it did not seem like he lifted it very far/far enough, so I inquired. He gave the " I've been doing this for 27 years-blah-blah-blah" speach. I told him that it was my truck, that I ordered it special & the stick shift in mine was no longer available & that it has a long travel suspension. It was cinched down so tight, all 4 wheels were stuffed into the upper fender wells. I told him if he crushes the roof cause he was too lazy to push the f-n hydraulic button a few more seconds, that I was gonna beat his ass right then & there. He said "OK asshole" & he put it all the way up. Well, we he popped the tiedowns, & the truck jumped up & just missed hitting the roof ! :jawdrop: He said, holy shit dude, good thing you said something !" Hopefully they are all schooled (the carriers) on the PW these days. I can't wait to see your shiny new flame red beast. Drove by my dealer today, they had a blue one there. I thought it was new, so I stopped. It had plates on it & a plate surround from another dealer. I told the newest kid salesman there a while back that every single Power Wagon that you guys order should have the dual alternator option, without exception. LOL  He said he would keep that in mind if he ever gets the chance to order one for the lot.

These guys are planning to go over to the train station and drive it back to the Stealership since its an order and taking longer. Then I don't have to wait for a car carrier to show up and bring it 7 whopping miles or so. Says he has to do some weird anti terrorist paperwork to pick it up in person. :lockedandloaded: I will leave them alone until next Wednesday. I do plan to check things our carefully, not something I have done with Japanese vehicle deliveries before, but I am hearing enough horror stories to get my attention. Hell with the Raptor your lucky if it has 4 tires and engine(no oil though with the plastic oil pan).

Funny, I told my young salesman the same thing, twin alternators should be his first up-sell. :winchmob:

And to add insult to injury my Titan electrics went freaking nuts, thought I needed a body control module. Turned out to be chafed wire, but it has been at the shop for 3 days.... :(

PS: What is the standing record for miles getting a PW to Moab? I think I might be up for a record challenge

The saga grows. No truck, no chance of seeing one any time soon. Code is waiting for body up fitter. (pin stripes I believe) Sales guy thinks they have just failed to update the status code for the last month or so and "Think" its waiting to ship. Regional sales rep says nothing is shipping because of a Hurricane...I assume its the October 4th tropical storm that hit 2500 miles away from the plant  No idea when the factory will ship again. I REALLY find this hard to believe. They promise to call me every day now and let me know the latest non-nonsensical update. October 26th date and November 8th Dates missed now...Ordered September 6th or so...

Don't bother having them call you - no one really knows when it will arrive - even if they tell you that they do!

It will just show up one day - when you least expect it.

When I ordered my PW. It took 6 weeks. It took 1 week to go from Mexico to Buffalo Ny. Then it sat in a rail yard there for 2 weeks. I offered to go and pick it up there. The dealer said that I couldn't do that.

Been over 2 months and we are practically in Mexico. Now says Nov8-Nov 19. But dealer says no way. Looking at at least 3 months, and that is really out of line with the norm.

Other problem is my Titan has BFG ATs with about 100K on them, and snow is not going to go well.

Called yesterday and of course still sitting at the factory. They were in a sales meeting and the owner started screaming in the back ground while I was on the phone. Apparently he has started calling his sales rep every day and every day supply chains says "will ship soon". Nice to hear the owner of the store is getting pissed about the truck sitting complete at the factory for 5 weeks.

I mentioned the free shop time.....

Ugh dude, that sucks man. I hope you get your truck before Thanksgiving! I'd be so pissed right now, I'd probably firebomb the dealership. Or at least think about it really hard.

 If it makes it Buffalo/Niagara Falls, I could go look at it for you ! I know where the yard is that they sit in when delivered by train/truck. It is HUGE & it is fenced in, so not sure how close I could get. Maybe if it was parked close the road side ? lol

Wouldn't that be something. Can these things be hot wired? :D Well past 2 months now. It will probably show up in white missing the dual alternators with my luck. :box:

Damn dude, that is almost my new dream truck. I just built one out tonight online. White/black w/all the emblems/stickers, dual alts, vinyl floor, heated cloth power seats, engine block heater, aux fuse block, upfitter switches, heated manual tow mirrors, spray-in bedliner, basic/cheapest stereo.

Honestly though, I have put so much time-money-labor-accessories in/onto mine, I would hate to start all over again. Gettin kinda old & certainly could not afford to pay someone to do all stuff I did to the one I have now.

Now there is a new code saying its been inspected and OK'd Could be a fluke as they don't really update the system much but sitting after being built for a couple of months makes little sense. Certainly did not take that long to inspect it. Beginning to think something happened like a major manufacturing flaw, or forgot to put in the second alternator, or ran of a part like PW seats........And that held it up. However they are no longer suggesting a deliver date ETA of any kind from Chrysler, which is disconcerting. Wonder what the record wait is? Mine will certainly be over 3 months.

Well that's something, could mean okay to ship and it could soon be on it's way...

Nope, they just called back. Said minimum of 30 days IF then to ship. Been ready to ship since 9/21/17. Railroads still backed up supposedly. Regional Sales rep found one in Colorado that is like the one I ordered except no cargo camera. They are calling, but dealers don't like giving these up. And in Colorado this time of the year? So lets see. Wonder if they would be willing to install it at the dealer. Does not seem too hard.

Well, I ordered mine on April 1st & took delivery on November 30th. The build date says 11/07, but it is an 08'. I bet it is exactly what you said: they are waiting for something on "National Backorder". That is another one of those modern day phrase's that just should not exist. I mean really, they should have this whole assembly/production line thing down pat by now. It's not like they just started doing this. Still waiting for some pics. DON'T SETTLE for a single alt !!!

Alternator would be a deal killer. Cargo camera, dont know might could live with out it.

Cargo camera would be awesome for 5th wheel hookup which i don't think I'd tow with a PW. I have it and i find it fairly useless. Dual alternators for sure.

A cap would also negate that camera.

I would not ever do a top. Mostly this is a work truck anyhow. Never heard back. When will they learn, the Cool colors and right options are customer orders or a few very rare, savvy dealers that know what PW buyers want and won't trade anyways.
