Identify this shock.

More out of curiocity. Seem to do decent job. Bit stiff maybe. Got truck used so no history known. Obviously been worked on before at 80k+. Has greasable front MOOG ball joints and these grayish shocks. They don't look like Bilsteins. Do they?

Ttese are only markings I see #740085 (made in Mexico  ) So I'm guessing not Bilsteins.

Could be anything. Bilstein, BDS, Pro-Comp, etc... . Stickers could have fallen off or been pressure washed off.

Shock Collapsed Length: 17.5 in. 444.5 mm.

Lower Mount Code: ES34

Any opinion on those?

The Max Control is Gabriel's top of the line shock the specs are very similar to a 5100, Gabriel does have a facility in Mexico. Gabriel uses the same valving for all Dodge 2500/3500 trucks gas or diesel so these would be stiffer on the lighter Hemi.

Comparison:

[Gabriel Max-Control]
46mm Monotube Shock
High-pressure nitrogen fill
Floating piston technology allow the shock to react immediately
Extended Length: 27.5"
Collapsed Length: 17.5"

[Bilstein 5100]
46mm Monotube Shock
High-pressure nitrogen fill
Digressive piston with self-adjusting deflective disc valving
Extended Length: 27.36"
Collapsed Length: 16.95"
Vehicle: 2007 Power Wagon Quad Cab - Factory Options (Inferno Red, Premium Cloth Bench Seat, Light Group, Automatic Transmission, Leather Steering Wheel)

Performance: Magnaflow Muffler | Magnaflow Y-Pipe
