Winch free spool

Brand new here, just picked my power wagon up last week. Bought it used with 2700 miles on it! Anyways I decided to unspool my song and see if they cable was in good shape. I looked everywhere and even searched the forum I can not for the life of me figure out how to free spool my winch. So is it possible to free spool and if so, how do you do it. Thanks in advance

There is a leaver on the right side (looking at the winch) that you turn 90 deg.
