Hidden Status

Post by ldgregory » Sun May 27, 2012 10:12 am

As the admin, I can see everyone who is logged in and one thing I've noticed is that there are a number of folks who show up as hidden all the time. If that is your real preference, by all means, have at it. I'm just wondering if I missed something somewhere that is defaulting people to hidden. Please check in your User Control Panel under Board Preferences to see if it is set to hide your online status. Choose No if you don't want it to. Also, when you log in with the web browser, there is a checkbox that says hide my online status and I wonder if people accidentally clicked that.

I'm also wondering if it's a default in Tapatalk if that's what people are using when they're showing up as hidden. At any rate, if you want to be hidden, that's fine, but if you don't please check your Board Preferences.

Thanks.

I just went through all the settings and unless I misses something, I don't see where to set it hidden in Tapatalk. What's the point of being hidden anyway? Stalking? It's not like this is a dating site, unless someone's into hot tailpipes and backfires.

Trash-80!!!! Lol! Man! Now that brings back memories!!! Loved my Trash-80.

I'm not sure why you're showing as hidden, I'll dig into it some.

After seeing Pit Slaves and someone else's sig, I thought to try this one! Lol!

Funny, when I look at who's online through Tapatalk, it shows me as online and one or two others. And I opted to show online through BB. Not sure...

Pit Slave, you're not hidden anymore. Did you finally figure out what was causing it?

It blips in and out. And no, I have no idea why.

I'll get it sorted at some point. Kinda low on the totem pole at the moment.

Right on. It's no big deal, we're here, most of us anyway.
