2017 bug deflector

Post by HeavyDuty » Tue Jun 06, 2017 12:31 am

I ordered a avs bugflector II. For a 2500 ram, which I figured would fit. Went to install it and didn't seem quite right. Managed to get it on but when I slammed the hood it seemed real tight. Took a closer look and the screw which they supply to hold the corners in we're hitting my headlights. I'm damn lucky I didn't crack them. I should have let the hood down a little easier to test fit Whoops.... so my question is has anyone found a bugdeflector that fits the .17 powerwagon? Which ones do you like? Thanks

Is yours the new grill? My '15 has an AVS for Ram 2500 that fits without any issues...

I have a Stampede on my 13, and I can't use the screws over the headlights either... maybe if I shimmed the hood open another hundred thousands it would clear, but not the way it is now. It doesn't make a difference on mine, the stampede is a little narrower, so they don't really move around at all.

Yes. Mine is the new grill. I thought the geometry looked the same but I guess not.

2017 bug deflector

How is the '17 different? I added a Lund aeroskin II under the secondary avs hood protector for xtra coverage as it's listed for 09-17. Bugs (springtime) and road debris are terrible here. I've considered bedlining the entire front end. Not sure if you can see it in the pic but a huge rock smacked my plastic avs. It would have destroyed the hood.

Not sure. I installed a avs bugflector II and the part above the headlights "wings" wouldn't fit right. And the mounting screws were digging into my heAdlights. I contacted the manufacturer and they said they did not have one that would fit the powerwagon sub model.
