Thuren 2" or 3" coils?

I'm almost ready to complete the suspension and ditch the puny tires on my 2012. This forum has been a huge source of info. Like many folks, because of towing, spare tires, etc. I think I'm going to stick with 35s for a few years, probably Toyo MTs. I already have the thuren arms, track bar and shocks. Just need the coils. I like the slightly positive rake on the truck. It sounds like 2" springs would provide ample clearance for 35s and just barely level it out? 3" would be plenty of lift and help with 37s in the future though I'd almost certainly need a shackle lift to put the back up a touch higher? I believe the back does currently sit about 1.5" higher than the front measuring the wheel wells. And of course almost an inch of driver side lean.

Any thoughts before I pull the trigger on this? Thanks!

Lifting the front won't do anything for clearing tires. Lift does not help or hurt that at all. Good job getting the other goodies first! I have a 2011 and I put on 3" springs, but this made my front sit dead level or just a touch bigger than the rear. With Thurens lift shackles on the highest setting now my rear sits just a touch higher. If you plan to use his shackles or leaves, I would suggest a 3", but if you plan to leave the rear alone I would suggest a 2", although that really isn't doing anything for your power wagon except giving you a fresh set of springs. It will help your drivers side lean by giving a spring that isn't sagged, but you will always have a little lean on drivers side due to the battery, gas tank and driver loading that side.

I am in the same dilemma here. I also have a 2012 and am thinking of doing 2 inch coils, overland shocks, and rear air bags with the cradles. Have 35s now and they clear just fine. Next set will be 37s.

you will always have a little lean on drivers side due to the battery, gas tank and driver loading that side.

My '05 leaned on the passenger side, but I have added a lot of stuff on that side, including two house batteries, water tank, Hi-Lift, tool box, etc. When I installed new Carli spring packs in the rear, I still had to use the Firestone air bags to level the truck.

Or consider fabbing up an adjustable end link for your rear stabilizer - I've done that for past vehicles and it was cheap and worked great for a side-to-side level. :idea:
