Hanging up the winch, moving on.

Short version, I am trading my truck in this week on a new fully loaded QC 1500 sport.

Longer version,
Love the wagon but never used it as intended, bought it because I was looking for a Laramie 2500, and found the wagon, the stick sealed the deal for me.

I have had it for about 6 years and never had any major complaint, its just time to move on. I don't off road it much if at all and don't use the 2500 ability as much as I though I would. To top all that off the wife refuses to drive it because its huge and a stick so we looked at new 1500's and she enjoyed driving the new truck and was comfortable so it was a done deal.

I will be de-modding the PW for the trade in, friend is buying the steering brace and diff guard, lights and mounts for behind hte grill will be avail, misc. stereo stuff and the Diablo tuner as well and will be posted in the F/S section.

This is a great forum and I will miss the info here.

P.S.
It will be for sale at the dealers lot (if my sales guy does not buy it), I think they are going to ask $25K for it and comes with the remaining added care + warranty which is good till 4/23/2018 if anyone is looking.

No damage and never beat offroad, looks better than new, only 45K miles (I think, might be closer to 46K).

You know what's funny 'dog, people always ask me " why didn't you get a diesel? ", and I reply " I don't need no stinkin' diesel" :D

Best of luck 08TwinStickPW, post some pics of your new truck.

 Can't believe you are getting rid of a G-56'ed Power Wagon. If I had some extra cash, I would buy it myself.

Enjoy the new one. Hope you don't get into any "damn, wish i still had the wagon" situations.

Thanks everyone.

I am sure I will miss RED, the times I used it as intended it always impressed me.

2 weeks ago I was helping some friends and was ripping out shrubs in 4lo, 1st gear and just letting the clutch out with no gas....it was so easy.

The new truck will go a different direction, I may do a 2" real drop to level it and add bags for towing......or raise the front, not sure yet.

It will be getting a Corsa exhaust and some speaker/sub and lighting upgrades this year

I have been wanting to look at an eco-diesel but around here, they are like the phoenix, people have heard of them but no one has ever actually seen one. I test drove one a few years back but it had a deal pending & was sold by the time i got back from the test drive. Small world---a guy I used to work with bought it. They have not had one since. They say "we just can't get them".

Stay away from the Eco Diesels!!!!!

My guys at the dealer have done a few motors already, they have issues!

Good luck to you...

I live north of Detroit... Their are Tons of Eco-diesels here. I see one or two every day. People I talk to seem to like them.

Best of luck in whatever you decide, TwinStick

I really thought I wanted an EcoDiesel ever since I heard they were coming out; test drove a few but performance was only so-so and price is about the same as Power Wagon with similar options. Payload is less than a Power Wagon, also. Then I read a few posts on ram1500diesel forum comparing Eco-Diesel's and Power Wagons, and I tried out a few new Power Wagons. If I drove a truck a lot of miles per year, then maybe an EcoDiesel would make sense; but for someone driving a truck 5,000 miles or so a year there is no economic way to justify the Eco-Diesel initial price. I am convinced that newer Power Wagons are the best solution for my needs; just need to convince my wife that it's okay to spend the money ;-) Until then, I'm very satisfied with my 2003 3/4 ton....

You could always put a winch on your new truck!

You know what years that tuner works for? I have an 09 but it's the 2nd gen Hemi. So not sure if it would work or not I can't find much info on it being discontinued now. Any idea on power gains?
You sure it's not a u7137? Says the 7135 is for most cars and jeeps. Trucks use different software and its suppose to be a 7137?

Are you 100% sure about your motor? I have an 09 as well and it is definitely the newer generation motor in mine.

Yes that's what I was saying our 09 trucks are still the 3rd gen body but have the newer engine than the 08 trucks so just making sure the programmer would work

In '09. They changed the intake manifold and throttle body. And gave it a bump in hp and torque.
