No lights on diff lock controller

Post by 2011bigred » Thu May 26, 2016 10:23 pm

I just bought my 2011 power wagon and I didn't notice on the test drive but there are no lights on on the diff lock and away bar disconnect controller is there a fuse that could be blown or what?

Maybe a blown fuse, maybe a blown light bulb, maybe a dealer trick & they unplugged them because none of that stuff works. Did you buy from a dealer ? I am certainly no electrical expert but if they are disconnected & nothing works, it would seem that fraud was in someones head.

I did buy from a dealer but they threw in a bumper to bumper warranty with the deal and I checked the fuses and all the connections to the sway bar and axles and everything looks good it's going in after the weekend to have it checked out thanks for the reply

It helps to drive slowly over a surface that is a little bumpy, to get the swaybar to disengage or re-engage. But if the lights are not even on all, i doubt anything will work. Keep us posted. I wonder if the smart/swaybar electrical plug got submerged in water & toasted the whole system ???

Fuses: I was just checking the fuse block on my truck. ( 2005). It has 2 fuses with 4x4 designation.....28 and 43. 10 amps and other is 25 amps.

This info is on underside of fuse block cover. Your truck is sure to have something similar.

You would know if they locked up, you can't hardly turn. Not trying to a be a jerk but it seems you don't know much about your truck. If I was you I'd take it back to Dodge and use the warranty.

Sorry for the long just got truck back from forth trip to the dealer they replaced a computer module today and hurray we have lights on now haven't had a chance to test yet however driving to the house I did get the sway bar to disconnect and I switched the rear diff lock and just got a blinking light I'm not sure if something else is broke or if I just didn't get the tires to spin enough any thoughts?

Check the xfer case sensor switch...seems to be a bugaboo for several here W/ locker issues...smart bar needs the 4Lo signal to send 12v to locker solenoid

Good deal, I think your dealer is the only one in the country that knows anything about a Power Wagon.

Funny you say that because they are pretty terrible usually with service but I guess I found a decent mechanic
