All the lights are on. Why?

Post by SternWingsS47 » Fri Sep 25, 2015 2:53 pm

I have a 2015 power wagon and I love this truck. I got brand new and now I'm having a few issues with it. The other day I had a check engine light come on and the code was reading that my hi/low relay for my cooling fans was bad. I checked the relays and they were fine. I had the code removed to see if it would come back. It hasn't. But now all the lights for the axle unlocked, front locked, and rear locked and the sway bar lights are all on. I don't know why but it's bugging me. Any advice or help will be great. I can't trust my local dealer to look at it because it will take them 3 months to get it in.

I would let the dealer look at it ... Just drive and and request a quick scan ... They should be able to clear the issue at least ... See if it comes back

you may not like the dealer, but you also have a warranty so use it and get it figured out. you could take a road trip to another dealer.

if you bought it from your local dealer...i'ld call the salesman up and bitch to him if it's gonna take months to get it in! heck it's a new pickup...have him move you up the line.

If you were testing relays you must be MUCH smarter than I am with wiring. Theres nothing you can "test" with the connections for the locker and sway bar switches? Do the lockers and sway bar disconnect still function properly?

I understand your thoughts about waiting on the dealer, but that really would be a good start. If you know your salesman just a little bit I would think they could get you lined up in a timely matter. If not, move on to a dealer that cares about you.

Thanks for the help everyone. I went up to my local dealer today and they booked me for the 18th....of November. I will speak with the dealer I bought the truck originally from but they are 6 hours away. All the controls still work but I don't know why all the lights are on. It might be a shortage in the switches. This is my first Power Wagon and so far I love everything about it expect this little issue.

ask your dealer what they would do if your 'NEW' PW broke down and was un-drivable. Would they make you wait till mid-November without your ride?

I wouldn't clear the codes leave them in the system so the dealer can more accurately troubleshoot the problem.

A 1.5 month wait on a current year vehicle? I'd call Mopar directly and start yanking some chains. That isn't even reasonable.

I had the same issues with getting into the dealer for an instrument cluster. What should have been a 30 second diagnosis turned into a 4 week wait just to diagnose. I called Ram customer service and explained that my warranty was essentially worthless if I couldn't use it because I cannot leave my PW at the dealer for a month just to get them to order a part.
They ended up calling all of my area dealers and ended up "strong arming" (that's what the service writer called it) one of them to get me in and out in a day and a half.

Call Ram customer service.(1-866-726-4636) explain to them what's going on and see what they'll do for you. Make sure to have them cover a rental if you want one. They covered one for me.

Oh yeah be nice. I've learned you get further with these people if you are calm and collected.
