Does your truck have 14mm or 9/16" lug studs?
They are supposed to be 14mm

Hi All,
Noob to trucks and the forum.
Have learned that I am a truck guy! After many exotic sports cars, if I had to choose one car to spend the rest of my life with, it would be a truck. I love my truck!

2016 Ram Power Wagon, AEV Prospector

I live in S CA. Considering adding a four wheel camper, habitat, or off-road trailer: teardrop or turtle.

I look forward to learning from the members of this board!

Well, it's been two and a half years of PW envy but I'm back. Picked up a 2017 Tradesman with the PW package yesterday. It feels so good to be back in a PW. Had a regular 2500 with a 6.4 and it just didn't cut it. Loving the ride, the look, and the feeling of knowing that I can go just about anywhere. And now the mods begin! :cash: :winchmob:

Welcome! How is the ride difference between the PW and the standard 2500, since you have a straight-across comparison?

The ride is a night and day difference to be honest. Although the rear coil springs on the 2015 2500 were a lot softer than the 3G PW I had, but this new PW runs circles around a normal 2500. On the way to the dealership, the freeway roads were incredibly rough and in the 2500 you felt every bump. The PW took those same roads much easier. You felt the larger bumps, but I didn't even notice the smaller ones. Also, you really notice the 2 inch ride height increase. I haven't noticed a large difference in fuel economy, but I have noticed that the PW stays in "ECO" mode more than regular 2500 did. I think this is because of the 4.10 gears vs 3.73.

Welcome, I'm like you. I was a sports car guy. Sold my toys to finance a dream (traveling the US for a couple years full time), which required a truck. And then discovered that I'm a truck guy. I got the itch. I still love go fast. But I get trucks now too.

Hi everyone,
This is my first PW and I'm very excited to break it in! I'm from north Texas and needed something that can haul a trailer full of cows and would still be fun to take off road occasionally. Just couldn't resist. Its my second truck, first was a stock Tundra. I do have a few questions, please let me know if I should post them elsewhere.

1. Manual says my PW has the whole MDS thing, but I've never seen the "ECO" wording light up. Is mine turned off? Does mine have MDS but no ECO mode?
2. When listing personal account info, I was only able to choose up to model year "2014". Does anyone else have this happening? Is there a way for me to change it or does it not really matter?

Anyway, here she is: 2017 PW, RamBox, leather & luxury package (those ventilated seats are amazing for our summers here).

Welcome DocWagon, nice truck!

The MDS/ECO mode rarely kicks on in these trucks, but it does occasionally... like when coasting down a slight grade haha. When it does kick on you will surely know it by the change in the sound of the motor. There is a little green light that pops up on my dash, but I think you can make it so it doesnt show up if you want (in the settings menu). Also, when it is in tow haul mode it will not kick on, or if you have the gear read-out in numbers instead of just a "D" then it will not kick on either.

Thanks for the add. This is an older site but has a bunch of usefull info and ppl. I tried to add the year of my power wagon but it only goes up so high and 2017 is not listed. I hail from Atlantic Canada, PEI. I spent years in the forces and cp as a chief engineer. Retired now but still love the outdoors.

Heres my 2012 in tequila sunrise pearlcoat I got back in February. I love the truck. The picture was just me messing around couple days after I got it, I don't really have anywhere to test the true capabilities of the truck but I plan finding legal places.
