Are these holes in the rear end center section supposed to have welds in them?

Yea. The axle tubes are pressed into the dif. And then they are plug welded.

It the right situation, you can break the welds and soin the dif up........ Don't ask me how I know that!!! Lol

This was a factory order and they are not welded. Wonder if I should take it to dealer?

Those holes are for what is called a coconut spreader. It's a tool that has dowel pins that fits into those holes. Used for assembly. ;)
