Re: Off and On Road Lights
One of the guys in the jeep club put them on his jeep and did a side by side comparison with another member who had the ARB's. There's a little bit of difference in the light pattern, not a ton, longevity will be the question I care to see answered in time. For a significant price difference tho, the difference was negligible.

Pics, Finally!!!
Fogs (9012) only Fogs (9012) + Lowbeam (Silverstar) Fogs (9012) + Highbeam (Silverstar) Fogs (9012) + Lowbeam (Silverstar) + KC Gravity's (Spread/driving) Granted they are not the best pics as I took them quick, those are the backs of the signs and the road goes down and to the left.
I have the center of the Gravity's at the top of the lowbeam to fill in the light the way I wanted, overall very happy.

Nice! Looks like they have the punch LED's have lacked in the past.

Re: Off and On Road Lights
I have not tried the 9011's, if I remember right they are no longer true HIR bulbs. The 9012's are still true HIR's and are also LL (Long Life).w2dodge wrote:Great.......08T....9012...did you ever try 9011s in the fogs?
I had 9005's before these, there was a little difference going to the 9012's but not a OMG upgrade.
Over all with the stock lighting upgraded and the addition of the KC's I am very happy, plenty of usable light. If find the funds down the road I might go with HID/retrofit projector headlights and fogs, however at this time I see no need to upgrade.

Re: Off and On Road Lights
Besides the 5k and 6.5k color (blueish tint), my only other concern would be that being a LED bulb, they probably don't produce enough heat to melt snow/ice off of your headlights in the winter time. I could be completely wrong, but that's what has strayed me away from these in the past...

Re: Off and On Road Lights
If they don't get hot, then why do they have built-in cooling fans ? I don't know too much about LED's , But they do have cooling fans. The reg ones & the 70 watt ones both have em.

Re: Off and On Road Lights
Regular bulbs project the wasted energy as heat outwards, LED bulbs don't, it goes backwards into a heatsink.

Re: Off and On Road Lights
Isn't most of the heat in the electronics? I thought the heat sink was to cool the board that is on the back side of the diode.

Re: Off and On Road Lights
The chip is part of the electronics, and it's what produces the heat.

Re: Off and On Road Lights
I just picked up and installed two 21.5" trail master LED light bars on my truck. So far I have been really impressed with them. Each bar was $110 at 4wheelparts. I have hopes that I won't see moisture in their future.
