kidney514 how did you mount your light bar? I want to do the same. How did you get the plastic piece off of your grill? Do you like the fitment of the Rigid 20" radius light bar? Can you post pictures from the side?

Quite easy, took me a week to accept to drille the bumper, that was the hardest part in the process. Lol the plastic part is held by about 10 screws, for a 5 ounze piece of plastic..... it all fit perfectly! I can try to take other pictures tomorrow. BTW I ordered one too many if interested!

Thanks for the info. I'm still trying to decide which light bar I want to go with. How much do you want for your extra?

Sucks there is not much available for our trucks.

Found a great deal on Amazon for the rigid grill and 30" rds bar, but called rigid and they say it won't fit on a power wagon.

Pillar mounts and the over the windshield bar are going to create a bunch of wind noise.

Over the windshield creates so much glare off your hood that the light is unusable just FYI

Rigid single row 20". Had a fair number of requirements for this that led me to spend the money on the Rigid. First and foremost, I could only fit a single row where I wanted to mount this. I knew I wanted a light bar in that location as soon as I saw that grill, well before I even ordered the truck. This will, for all intents and purposes, be the only light I put on the front of the truck. I don't do a lot of night wheeling anymore, but wanted some more light for when I do. I also don't particularly care for the look of windshield mounted bars anyways, add to that covering up the marker lights and probably drilling into the sheet metal and naw, not for me. Back to the point, I wanted as much light out of my small bar as I could get. Rigid offers the combo light bars, this one being a combination "hyper spot" and flood. I really liked the look of their blacked out "midnight edition", but unfortunately it isn't available with that combo lense. If that ever changes, this one will probably get sold used and replaced.

My original idea was to mount it in front of the grill with either a mount/bushing going through the grill, or maybe even sandwiching the grill with some fender washers and bolts. After a lot of sitting on a bucket like Johnny Bench and staring at it in the garage, I came to the conclusion that either of those solutions would be hokey at best, and extremely bouncey and unstable at worst, not to mention sticking out farther than I had envisioned. Ended up deciding to bite the bullet and cur my grill. After a hour or two of tweeking on it in the garage with a Dremel to get my material removal perfect (only to realize that it almost doesn't matter since the light fits so snugly that it covers up all that delicate and pretty cutting/grinding I did lol), this is what I ended up with. Obviously the grill was removed while I did this, lol. Made some brackets out of some 11 gauge 4 inch flat bar I had. Might redo it later with something a little more substantial. If anybody wants better pics I will be starting a build thread at some point.

Came out pretty good, I'm happy with it. I need to get some output pics, but it's amazing how much throw this little bar has, way more than I need for the speeds I drive offroad. The floods on the sides do a pretty good job of adding some nice light on the road as well.

Good job sir! Not many guys have the stones to go cutting on a new truck, I applaud your efforts! Definitely want output pics and build threads are always a great idea.

Snapped a few, and a closer view of the bar. These pics don't really do the awesome throw of this little light with the Hyperspot any justice. Looks almost the same in the pics. You can definitely see the difference in the spill off to the sides though.

In order: off, low beams, high beams, high w/ light bar

While traveling at night recently, on the NYS I-90 Thruway, I was simply AMAZED at how many people had their light bars on & were blinding everyone. If I was a Trooper, I would be writing some tickets for sure. Some were just ridiculous, everyone was flashing them yet they never turned them off. Idiots

I installed my Diode Dynamics 30" light bar today. Haven't wired it up yet, but in my garage testing it totally kicks my old ebay garbage lightbar butt.
I'll get it wired up with week with some output shots!

I thought about installing on the bumper/under, but it was too exposed on the lower part, and I really didn't want it on the top. Ended up going behind the grille-I might move it later on lol.
