Re: Tire Feedback
It's probably 12" but ya bfg's are known to be smaller then the competition overall. Usually by .5"

Re: Tire Feedback
I will post this pic since this is a tire thread and we are on the topic of tires running smaller, BFG in particular.
This is the 37" KO2 fully aired up under a jeep.
I know my 35" KM2's barely measured 34" when brand new. Never did measure the width of them, but I'm sure there more like 12"...

Yes. In 2014 they went to the radius arms that are under your truck. Prior to that they had 4 separate control arms.RotorWolf wrote: Does the 2015 hve different control arms then the rest of the 4gs?

I'm thinking of going with teh 37" BFG A/T KO2 on the next set. How do you like them so far?olyelr wrote:I will post this pic since this is a tire thread and we are on the topic of tires running smaller, BFG in particular.

I had no complaints with the KM2 tire I ran prior to the MT/Rs. Good traction and lasted 40k miles. I can't complain about that! Will wrote:I personally wouldn't waste valuable brain space even thinking about a BFG tire (period) JUNK!

Maybe the KM's but I've had two sets of the KO's (not by choice) and they were worthless.Juday wrote:I had no complaints with the KM2 tire I ran prior to the MT/Rs. Re: Tire Feedback
Funny isn't it? Maybe location, but I've run the BFG for years, and still swear by them. I'm not fond of the new KM2's, but have always loved the KO AT's for winter use. Wear well, and are still supple. I've pushed snow on the hiways, and made it in and out of leases that are 200+ Kim's of ice snow and mud, with never a complaint about them. I never hesitate to put them on any of my trucks. Will wrote:Maybe the KM's but I've had two sets of the KO's (not by choice) and they were worthless.Juday wrote:I had no complaints with the KM2 tire I ran prior to the MT/Rs. Re: Tire Feedback
I think bfg stepped it up this year when they re made the ko and it will impress you guys who don't like em. I didn't like the originals on my truck but I really did like the ko2's and that's why I still have them for winter/ as spares

No Rubbing at full lock or while fully articulated.
No lift.
I want 37's now and by the looks of things I don't think I'll rub much if I stick with the BFG's...
Thoughts?
Does the 2015 hve different control arms then the rest of the 4gs?
Looks great! Do you have any side view pics on level ground so I can get a visual of the tire and wheel well?
Thanks

I won't run the BFGs. Their tread design is not good for where I go, the Yokos I have now do way better than those. They do not clean themselves.

Re: Tire Feedback
I didn't want to start a new thread but if people think it is better to start a new one let me know. I will be replacing the tires on my 2014 2500 non power wagon within a month or so. I would love to step up to a 35" tire but with 3.73's I don't want to lose any power. I bought a set of 2005 power wagon rims a few months ago and was planning on going with a 295/70r17 size. The two tires I'm considering are Dick Cepek extreme country or mastercraft courser mxt. I would love to step up to ko2's but that is a decent price jump. Has anyone ran either of those tires or known anyone who has run them? I'm having a hard time finding good reviews on them.
Re: Tire Feedback
I ordered a set of the mastercraft courser mxt's today for my 2011 PW. I'm going to try 315/70-17's on stock rims. I'll update when I get a few miles on them.

Well hell, anything is going to clean itself at that speed. They gum up and are basically slicks where I go unless you're hauling ass...

That is beautiful. Just perfect!
Man ill say all this stuff w 37s is killing me. I just noticed that toyo has a 305 70 17 thats 33.9 x 12.2 in the atII pattern and i was thinking i was going for that. Thought that they might work w little or no modifications. Upgrading tire size and ground clearance and saving money. (although trac bar upgrade is a must)
After seeing that pic of yours w 37 ft's I'm tripping. So what does Thuren mean in your sig? Control arms or overland type thing?
And is standard trinity ok for loss of power or do you have a custom tune?
Thanks

Thuren 3" coils, Thuren rear shackles, Thuren Overland shocks, and Thuren track bar. I'm running another brand of extended control arms, because I'm saving for Thuren alien arms, King shocks, etc. Although, an axle truss is next on the priority list. Everything works well together though. It honestly rides like a dream, those 35's/20's were very harsh too.Black Pearl wrote:That is beautiful. Just perfect!

I'm just running the canned 87 tune on my trinity. Works just fine for me. I'd like to get a custom tune, but I have other priorities.
