Man ill say all this stuff w 37s is killing me. I just noticed that toyo has a 305 70 17 thats 33.9 x 12.2 in the atII pattern and i was thinking i was going for that. Thought that they might work w little or no modifications. Upgrading tire size and ground clearance and saving money. (although trac bar upgrade is a must)
After seeing that pic of yours w 37 ft's I'm tripping. So what does Thuren mean in your sig? Control arms or overland type thing?
And is standard trinity ok for loss of power or do you have a custom tune?

Thuren 3" coils, Thuren rear shackles, Thuren Overland shocks, and Thuren track bar. I'm running another brand of extended control arms, because I'm saving for Thuren alien arms, King shocks, etc. Although, an axle truss is next on the priority list. Everything works well together though. It honestly rides like a dream, those 35's/20's were very harsh too.

I'm just running the canned 87 tune on my trinity. Works just fine for me. I'd like to get a custom tune, but I have other priorities.

With the 3" coils, shackles, shocks and track bar how much over factory power wagon did you go up? I am looking into purchasing those exact items.

I don't know exactly, but I'd guess it was essentially 4". Thuren says 3.75" and it was at least that, felt like more.

lol no no no. He got an additional 1.75" (over claimed 2" factory lift") plus the additional 2" from 33" tires to 37" tires.

He's talking 3.75" OVER a factory 2500 (not a wagon) and yes your spare probably won't fit in the factory spot. Have to bed mount it somewhere or tire gate . Get yourself some high clearance Thuren arms and run 37's stock suspension for now. The. Add coils shackle etc if you want later... !

Fwiw some 37's will fit on a stock setup. I have the hankook m/t in 37 an everything is stock. Also, on a side note, a buddy of mine just put a 6" procomp an 35's on a 2015 Toyota Tundra and we're basically even in height. Lol. He wasn't happy. I meant to grab some pics but forgot

Yes the sensors would be on. I just took mine out.

I'm running Hawk brake pads. My brakes are firm.

Take it to a dealer and have the thresholds changed, problem solved. The lights will come on when you go below 80% of the door sticker.

I ordered a set of the mastercraft courser mxt's today for my 2011 PW. I'm going to try 315/70-17's on stock rims. I'll update when I get a few miles on them.

Any updates on this? I ordered a set to have them installed Wednesday morning. They were cheaper than the dick cepek extreme country's and they actually have reviews where as I still can't find anyone who has run the extreme country tires.

I have had them on for a couple weeks and a few hundred miles. I haven't really gotten out in the mud with them yet to play but they've impressed me on some pretty muddy job sites. In a couple places where I nearly got stuck on the worn out BFG's I haven't even needed 4wd. What amazes me is how quiet they are on pavement. I have to be going at least 55-60 to even hear them at all. The only downside so far is they do rub quite a bit since I'm on stock suspension. Looks like new control arms are in my future. They measure out at very close to a true 35-12.50.

Here is an update on the 37x1350x17 Cooper Discoverer STT Pro tires.

The tires just turned 3k miles, mostly city. For as aggresive a tread as they have, they are not really loud.
There is some road noise, but I would compare it to a set of worn Duratracs.
Manners on the road have been great. There has been no wandering at all.
They have maintained their balance with little weight and have zero vibration all the way to 85+ MPH.
When they were first mounted, there was a crazy amount of sidewall flex. You could literally feel it in the seat of your pants while turning.
Not too surprising though I guess considering the sheer size of the sidewalls.
I was initially running them at 65 PSI all the way around, and slowly started lowering the pressure a couple of pounds a day until I got to what seemed to run well.
I am now running 50 PSI front and 45 PSI rear. I've been running that way for about 2 months. At about 2000 miles, the sidewall flex just kind of faded out.
I haven't noticed it at all now for some time. Maybe the Range E sidewalls needed a break in period? Hard to say.
On wet surfaces, I have experienced no real issues with slipping while braking. I have, however, noticed a small tendency for the rear driving tire
to try to spin slightly and even act as if it was going to hop while applying a little power while turning. I want to say I remember the Duratracs on my PW doing that
once or twice before before i replaced them, so maybe this is a suspension issue rather than tire.

That said, I like them very much so far. Wear appears to be minimal and even. Once the snow starts falling or I get to actually head out off road somewhere, I will give another update.

Ok, thanks for the update. My main concern was how they handled on road. The off road performance is a definite plus. I need a tire that works good in deep snow so I'm hoping these will be the ticket.
I just had mine installed yesterday and while they are definitely louder than the stock transforce tires they are about the same volume as a new Duratrac which to me is amazing for a mud tire. It does look like one of them is a little questionable quality wise because 3 of the tires needed 2 Oz or less to balance one needed 4 Oz, I do have a vibration but it isn't much. Now I just need to find somewhere to take it off road to test then out. I do know the size rocks the tread catch is quite impressive.

So a quick question for those of you running the Toyo Open Country A/T II’s; have you noticed any funny wear or vibration? I just hit 4,000 miles on my A/T II’s and had them rotated because I noticed a funny sensation in the steering wheel when turning (almost like a binding sensation, see thread here: http://forum.powerwagonregistry.org/vie ... 944#p50944 ). I’ve had the truck checked twice by the dealership and they say the whole front end looks good. I had my head mechanic where I work take a quick look and he didn’t see anything wrong, but he felt the sensation when turning the wheel. After having the tires rotated the feeling in the steering is gone. The folks at Les Schwab said there was some minor cupping on the inside of the tire, but nothing that concerned them. Les Schwab also said that the air pressure was a little low so they bumped it up (I’m running around 60psi now). I’m just wondering if this is the characteristics of the A/T II?

These are what have been on my 2010

Yokohama Geolandar AT-S – 37x12.5x17 – 5 out of 5 stars (so far)

Pros – Awesome road manners, excellent wet and dry road traction. Super quiet, truck rides better than it ever has. Best tire I’ve seen yet for sand, especially loose beach sand. Very, very little weight to balance. Deep tread for an AT, I’ve got a little over 10k miles and tread looks like it’s doing fine, been rotated once, no cupping so far. Handles muddy dirt roads great, only hiccup I’ve seen so far is sticky red clay will gum them up, tap the throttle and they clean out easily though. All other mud is no issue but obviously not a MT. Light weight so mpg and braking is not hindered. Side walls are tough considering a Tacoma side swiped the front right tire and basically totaled out his bed but the tire only had paint on it, no tears or cuts or even bad scuff marks.
Cons – Other than gumming up in sticky red clay, none as of yet, they’re doing exactly what I purchased them for. They are a D rated tire, however, the load capacity is high enough with the 37’s.

Well, I've had the 37's Yoko's for a little over a year and 36,000 miles. Which I have come to the conclusion that I would rather a tire wear out in a year than last longer because I want to try different ones. My first impressions of these tires were spot on and basically nothing has changed. They balance good every time, have not had any loss in wet weather performance, they are still pliable. Still do great in the sand. And it looks like they have a long way to go before needing to be replaced. I like them very much and if I were the type to run the same tire, this would be it so far. They are a great all terrain tire and have gotten me everywhere I wanted to go.

Hi all,

I have a 2500 ram non power wagon running Super Swamper Truxis 35 12.50s on stock forged Aluminum rims and just put 40,000 on a set over the past year still could get another 5-10 thousand more miles but changed them out for the winter for a new set.

Pro's: really agresive (given with any Swampers) but surprisingly very quite for a mud tire (actually quiter than any truck tire I have ever owned), no real complaints, great in snow good road manors, I rotate them every 3000 miles and have worn very good and still quite.

I have had the Cooper STT Pro tires on now since November, no complaints with them, great tire. Tire size is 315/70 r17. They dont rub the control arms (thankfully) and my truck is stock. Will give updates on how tread wear is and how they do in the snow/mud(if we ever get snow)

Verdict:So far I would absolutely buy again. Great on road characteristics (90% of my driving). They are quiet and handle well. Wet and snowy traction has been fantastic, I keep waiting for the front end to push around corners on slick snowy roads but the truck just turns, no drama. In deep snow they have also done well, able to bite and go. Trying to get to a OHV park sometime soon and air down so I will be able to review their toughness over logs, rocks and such.

I can agree with this review there's always snow on the roads here in the winter and I have only run the truck in 2wd and been very impressed with the ko2

Compared to a good year wrangler they are freakin awsome in the snow and wet and don't do TOO badly on ice also.
