For where I live and what I do, an A/T is the best choice, you have to search far and wide to find any amount of mud.

very impressed so far. Super soft. Super quiet. Much better on fuel then the mtz's already!. Much lighter also. Only downside I see right now is no large rim protection ring like the mud terrains usually have! But wow smooth ride talk about a winter/ crawling tire. They will be well suited for this. Let's hope their as tough as they say they are because damn these are sticky!!! Side by side with a toyo MT they are much much much softer and more pliable. Think hot drag slick but at only 40degrees.....:)

Well over the weekend I said goodbye to my stock BFG's with 28,000 miles and put some new Toyo Open Country A/T II's in a 285/75/17 on my truck. Road noise on the interstate is less than the BFG's, and according to my GPS my speedometer reads about 1mph slower than what I'm actually going when I set the cruise control at 80mph. I haven't had any off road experience yet, but I towed the family boat about 220 miles on Saturday in rain, snow, and dry pavement and they did really well. The real test will be spring bear hunting on forest service roads that like to turn to clay when it rains, but by the looks of the tread I think in the winter they will do the job for me.

Have 4000km on my bfg'ko2's now and I like them. Great on fuel compared to mtz's. Quite a bit smaller but I do like them. Still want to go to a mt toyo later on to gain the ground clearance back but very impressed so far.

We ran a set of the Falken's on the JKUR. Wore like iron, great dry traction, OK in the wet stuff, and better than expected in mud. But, at about 60% tread left, they got squirrelly on the road. Lost any feel for on center, wandered all over. Had the Jeep checked over for front end problems, and all was good. Replaced them with DuraTraks, and it drives like new again.

ZMBKLR, update when you can. I am looking at the same tire and size for my 2015 PW. I am waiting a bit to make the jump, I'm curious as to how well they will do in the snow.

I bought my 2010 with stock size Firestone Destination ATs which are pretty passive in terms of tread pattern but ride harder than you'd expect. Their a decent road tire with almost no road noise at all, their decent on wet roads and fair on snow covered roads but I wouldn't say their good on snowy roads. As far as deep snow, just stay out of it with these tires or you'll be looking for winch points to get yourself out. Same goes for any heavy mud. On top of that, they are chunking worse than any tire I've ever had and that's just from driving on my half mile dirt road to get home. I had Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 04 1500 and they seemed to be good on wet, dry or snow covered roads but not very good in any real muddy conditions. I need to find a tire that'll be good for towing, snow, rain and occasional mud when trying to get up the steep muddy hill on my property. I crushed my tailgate on that hill with the 04 on the Nittos because it just decided it was done going forward and proceeded to slide back into a tree. I'd like to avoid that with this one. I don't want a real loud tire since Its my daily driver and I wanted to go to a 35X12.50. I've found that a lot of tires just don't have very good wet traction with the HP our trucks are putting out and it gets a little sketchy trying to pull out on busy roads unless ya lock it in every time ya have to get out in a hurry. Yeah I know, it sounds like I want everything but I'd be happy if I could find a tire that's pretty good all around and not necessarily great in any one category. If I had to decide right now I'd probably go back to the Nitto Terra Grapplers since it was decent in most areas except heavy mud.

I just got new wheels and tires for my 2015 PW. I had Toyo Open Country RT tires (35X12.5R18LT) and Fuel Assault 18" wheels with an 01 offset (5.000 in) put on. I worked with Chris and Tim at High Country Performance 4X4 in Denver to pick them out. Both had experience with Power Wagons and were very knowledgeable. Tim actually had a 2014 PW that he just traded in. The new tires and wheels fit without rubbing, but it is kinda close to the wheel wells, I may rub if I bottom out while turning. I might need to trim some of the plastic back.

I am pretty happy so far, but I only have 20 miles on them. I haven't noticed any road noise and the ride seems great.

I am including some before and after pictures for anyone that is interested.

V3rt,

Looks good. Is the backspacing 5 inches? What is the total width of the wheel?

Nice. Any chance on some pictures looking down the side from the front and rear? Thanks again for the quick response!

Thanks for the info. I just looked them up and it's not a bad looking tire. Looks like their priced pretty reasonable and if they hold up that well then it's just what I need. How were they as far as road noise? I don't mind a little noise but don't want anything obnoxious. Thanks again

They are not loud at all. Maybe slightly louder than bfg all terrain. Definitely not as loud as a mudder.

Nice, then that's what I'm looking for. I'll talk to a friend of mine this weekend and see what kind of price he can get me on them. I'd really like to go to the 315s, so hopefully he can get them at a decent price.

They shouldn't touch, especially with 35's, the closest points are actually when the wheels are straight. The plastic inside the well can easily be pulled back, you can take your hand and push them in about 2" which is more than enough. Looks good.

35"x12.50" BFG K02
No Rubbing at full lock or while fully articulated.
No lift.
I want 37's now and by the looks of things I don't think I'll rub much if I stick with the BFG's...
Thoughts?
Does the 2015 hve different control arms then the rest of the 4gs?

Some tires have a smaller actual center section than others (actual measurement) and I think those BFG KO2 are one of them. Measure the tread width and see if it's an actual 12.50 or it's smaller, I'd bet it's smaller and that's where you're gaining your clearance.
