The grill was purchased off eBay (from a dealerships website) although it was hard to find. All there was was a part # and no picture of the grille. I bet I looked for 3 days before finding a '17 grille for sale. Around $900 delivered to my door though, Ram Rebel grills are much cheaper but will NOT work...FYI. I am actually surprised how good it all turned out, the grille was a shot in the dark as I could find no picture on the web showing one on an earlier model. Now there is at least one!!
My buddy put one on his 3500. He said most of the guys on the Cummins forum were pretty much oblivious to the new PW grill and a few even thought he got the rebel grill to work

Here is a photo from this Sunday. Took the wife and kids out to do some wheelin' near home. It was a beautiful day and I dinged my front diff for the first time. To top it off, I ended up shooting a deer at my buddy ranch right at sundown. Got some blood mixed with the dust for the first time. Hopefully, we have the same luck for elk season. I won't mind if I have to do some road hunting this year!

Love the ‘16 Laramie but disliked all the chrome so I powder coated the front bumper and wheels, replaced the rear bumper, added EGR flares, changed mirrors and added grille off of ‘17 PW. Also 4.88 gears and ProCal
Do the EGR flares add additional width?

Yes, I believe it is about 1.5" wider per flare. I can measure but am currently in the Midwest and the truck is on the west coast.

I purchased 2" wheel spacers because I thought the flares would look too wide and afterwards decided all looked great as is...I do have a small 1/4" wheel spacer on though.

Nice! They definitely have a ton of character....the lineage, and they sound/feel like nothing else. I have kind of a problem with them, I've owned four of them over the years lol. Just can't get away from them despite trying. Had a 2000 with minimal mods (I think just a jardine 2-1 and PC iirc). Some little chick put that one down and the insurance totalled it, which kind of blew my mind but didn't hurt my feelings since it was kind of a lemon anyways...dealer took me for a ride and I was too new to know better. The I got an '05 and had that for years, had all the parts I wanted on it, rode it damn near daily. Went down real hard on that one, and it was mostly my own fault. Broke both wrists and my left arm. Good news is I was able to salvage the Sato Banzai's (bent bracket, Dan Kyle was able to get me in touch with their supplier who got me one of the last ones he had collecting dust on a shelf), Sato rearsets, and proton flush mounts. Those went on an '03 eventually when I couldn't fight it anymore. Earlier this year I saw a killer deal on another '05 (always wanted my black one back) on eBay, so I bought it, got it home, and swapped all the parts. Including shipping, it cost me $400 to switch from the '03 to the '05, which also had 18k as opposed to the 39k on the 03. Only sad story is I can't ride nearly as much now, have to carry tools and what not for work.

Of everything I've ridden or owned, I don't see myself ever not owning one. I'm stuck, lol.

My '03 had full Ohlins suspension, The front forks got the Brembo radial brake calipers. Sato resets, clip-ons, and Banzai's. Thorsten radiators and air box. Had it tuned by JC Hord in Ohio. Would like to find a '04 Nicky Edition with the polished frame. The Ohlins front forks that was on the RC51 are now sitting on my '07, 25th Edition VFR.

Always loved the '07 VFR, wanted to get one and powder coat the wheels white. Same idea if I got an '04 RC51. We have similar taste lol.

Pic of the solo black one was my first '05, the other one looks pretty much the same now with all the same parts back on it. Pics of the '03 were from when I sold it, after I swapped all the parts over that came on the new black '05 when I got it.

Back on topic....a few pics of my '17 to add to the mix

Day I got it home:

Three days later, sliders already installed. Absolutely some of thickest clay mud I've ever encountered. Dried into concrete. Tried to keep the left side tires out of it and it sucked me right in:

Work hard, play hard. Stopped to get some bike tires mounted on the way back to the shop after work:

How you liking the maxxis tires?

And its time for you to get started on a build thread before you get too far!

I love them so far, fairly sticky, even without airing down I'm not sliding around as much as I was on the Duratrac's (could also be the added width). Not noisy at all, even with windows down they're only a touch louder than the Duratrac's. Only sord of complaint, which is just learning curve, is that the rears are cupping slightly, the edges are visibly darker/less worn or dirty after a drive. Already took them down 5 psi, gonna try 5 more....if nothing else it'll all balance out after a rotation. They are load range E which might be playing in to that.

They're the RAZR MT's btw.

They have finally arrived! Excited to finally get these on. The truck will look appropriately named without the stock donuts on it. Now I guess I’ll need some options to utilize the factory spare location since it’ll be vacant.

Heading out of town on vacation so I’ll have a few hundred road miles to see how the mannerisms are. Specifically on road handling, sound levels compared to the duratracs, sidewall flex etc.

The last photo there is the stock Jeep tire it looked ridiculous next to the 37’s I had to snap a picture

37’s are on, Yokohama G003’s

Laramie, the truck looks awesome on 37s! How does it ride with the Thuren shocks? Also, nice touch with the AF flag. Aim High!

Thanks brother,
Rides nice. I really can’t reccommend the addition of the rear trackbar as well really plants the rear end.
The flags weren’t on purpose but it worked out well. Wind just happened to cooperate.
