Cut one of the factory goodyears twice, couldn't plug it the second time. 42k miles on them, time for new rubber. $$$$. Worth it for that glacier view.

Been a while. Glad to see you using the truck & camper. We are just getting ready to start our adventures as well. Wife & I both recently retired. Finally got our new/ish camper back & seems to be fixed right this time. Can't wait. Bought a 2017 TRD Off-Road 4Runner for the wife. Gonna use that for some adventure when not using the PW & camper. Downsized from the 30' ToyHauler to an 18QB AR-One Extreme @ 3500 lbs. Love the camper & it's ground clearance. Got a new 9" thick Denver pillowtop matress for it & just installed new speakers in it today. Gonna do airbags & a big trans cooler on the 4Runner before we tow the camper with it. I just want to be able to use it in a pinch, in case the PW needs repair & we have a trip planned.

Nice to see you back.

Made a couple changes to our 06 Power Wagon. 2" longer controls arms, 2.5" spacer up front, 1.5" spacer in the rear and 40 inch ltb's.

Making room for the tire. I still need to cut a little more off the bumper to clear the tires.

Can you post up pics of your control arms and the clearance between the Trackbar frame mount and the coil bucket?

Hell yeah, Wilsonsinak!

Those Furd Superduty flares look pretty dang good on there, too!

No clearance issues with track bar etc. when moving the axle that far forward?

These control arms are a temporary setup until I have the time to build a long arm setup for the truck.

No issues that I have seen yet. I have not been able to stuff the tires too hard yet and will be going out of town to go fishing and hunting for a week so I wont have a chance to wheel the truck for a couple weeks. We are heading out hunting in a couple weeks, going to spend just over two weeks in the middle of no where hunting. It will be a good time in the woods.

Here are a couple pictures of a small rock I found near the house to flex the truck on. The rock in the back ground was too close too another rock and I couldn't get just one tire up on either one. You can see the mark on the passenger side of the front bumper. I still need to trim that side of the bumper to match the drivers side.

Thanks! So it's been a long time but I thought I remember talking with Aaron at Thuren and him saying that the reason you can't push the axles forward more than about 5/8" on these trucks is that the Trackbar frame mount will hit the coil or coil bucket. That looks to be the case in the pictures you took. Maybe with those huge tires they'll hit something first, but I'm excited to see if you can ever everything to work happily together! I think Ram4Rocks is probably eye screwing your truck every step of the way

It will be a couple weeks before I will have a chance to really flex the truck up. When I do I will snap some pictures. The pictures don't really do it justice, there is more room there than the picture makes it look like. I don't think the coil or coil bucket will hit the track bar mount.

I am loving the truck. A couple simple mods and it is very capable.

I'll be very excited if things work out for you. It's easy to stick within the norms and sit around and say "that won't work because of X and Y", but then somebody goes out and finds a way. Glad you're liking the truck, these things are amazing for what they are. I'd bet lots of us get a smile on our face when we see your truck. How's the ride quality with the longer arms and big tires?

Yep, I have always researched mods and seen where guys say there are obstacles to over come and look for a way to make them work.

It rides a little better than stock but I am still playing with tire pressures. Offroad aired down I'm sure it will be way better than when it had 37" boggers on it for ride quality.

That was a fun trip. Bought a tee shirt at the office that says "It's all fun and games until someone forgets the sun screen". It shows a bunch of stick figure tubers floating down the river. With one stick figure being burnt red.

It was a fun weekend.

Here is my new yard art. It will get a flag pole and some memorial stuff for my friends I lost in Iraq. It has no title, but is pretty rust free. I wish I could restore it, but this works for me.

Nice to see another PWR member in AK! You have any interest in doing a meet up some time? I moved up here a few years ago and the closest I've done to any serious wheeling was a solo winter trip out to Knik Glacier. I'm not quite dumb enough to go alone when everything is thawed out and I don't trust the jeep crowd to get a PW unstuck.

I'd be up for that. Not sure when the next chance we will have to go wheeling. Hunting is in a couple weeks. We bought the truck to get the entire family out hunting so we will be out wheeling looking for moose.

Shoot me a PM.
