Details and pics to follow, but in a nutshell, alot of parts need to be changed out. :doh: Anyone that was there and/or heard the sound, saw the action knows that was a decent impact, lol!

Well he has my spare tire. With the force he came down on the front both wheels got bent. We couldn't tell if the axle got bent or not. It was definitely a huge hit. Next time I run the GoPro on the fire roads too. I am really sorry I missed recording it.

To give you a frame of reference PitSlave does not have a trick air suspension, but his truck was bouncing higher then Dr. Dre's low ride Impala on the Let Me Ride video.

I thought PIT has Kings and such. Wow unless it has wheel eating rocks we can't see, there should not be any real damage if the suspension is tuned for high speed off road.

I could likely hit that at 40>50 W/O issue in the direction shown and 30>40 going the opposite way. I do want a truss though! I sure want more pictures though. :popcorn: You know like the NASCAR fan who goes to see all the crashes LOL :doh: Crap did I say that?

I also hope that the damage is less than it is believed to be :rockon:

It wasnt 'that' rock. It was the fact that it was a 25" + dropoff with multiple rough rocks at the bottom. With the right tuned suspension you MAY be able to hit it in this direction, but definitely NOT the opposite way he hit it.
I wouldnt try it either way, even in a Rapturd.

VA is right. It was a much larger rock at the bottom. I was pointing to the ravine he hit at high speed. Look how low the bumper of the wagon is that is going through there. It was 25" easily. Would never take that at speed even with my kings.

I'm the wagon in that photo and I do remember that "dip". The picture is deceiving as it is deeper than it looks and there was rough rocks in the bottom. Any sort of speed would have done some pretty good damage. :shock: Hopefully it's not too extensive, and you can get her back together fairly quickly.

Oh no! This is the first time I'm reading this. Been super busy. Chris, those pics you sent look nasty. If there's anything I can do to help or offer that I have in my garage (PW wheels, tools, etc), it's yours. I'm hoping it's not as bad as it all appears to be?

Someone should have warned Pit about that spot. Especially if you guys were going fast. We all had 2- ways and CBs someone should have let him know that's what we brought them for. :winchmob:

We weren't going fast...at least everyone else besides Chris wasn't. So are your unit bearing's done Chris? Might wanna check the motor mounts too just to make sure. Yes, we were aired down but the hit bent both front Alcoa's like it was nothing.

Well I checked the tow on it, and it was .250 or better out. That gives you an idea how much the upper "C's" are bent. Put it back to about .125" toe in and it keeps on the road again. Since I need a new axle, might as well get the whole thing trussed and boxed, upper and lower. Still hope it's just the ball joints shot.

I really hope it's just your balljoints and instead of your axle...because that would royally suck ass if it was your axle.

Good point about CBs. I'm actually looking into a new CB. I used to use them a lot when I was younger until cell phones became affordable. We used to use them while delivering pizza back in the 80's. I think they're almost a requirement for group communications, such as our events. I may start a thread on this topic.

Hey Pit what are you running for suspension and what were you aired down to? Enquiring minds want to know is all. :secret:

Those wheels took a real had whack so I'm suspecting 10>15psi?
