WARN VTC air compressor ???

Post by TwinStick » Thu Jun 07, 2012 4:58 pm

I posted this in the gadgets, gear & gizmos section & have got 19 views but no responses. Maybe i will here. I was checking out the WARN VTC air compressor & every site i went to (about 6) said it was no longer avail. Did they stop making this compressor? Or are vendors just not selling them as fast as they would like so THEY stopped carrying them ? It would be sad if WARN stopped making this. It is/was the best compressor on the market, if you had the room for it. Also ran the coolest, at 220* after filling up 4 35" tires from 15 to 35 psi. Others were 330*. Thanks.

Both Viair & ARB are good products. It's just that 20 cfm @ 0 psi & 8 cfm @ 90 psi is hard to beat.

Yup, they e-mailed me back. "No longer avail". They gave no reason whatsoever. Sad. Can't imagine one with better specs.

You might look at a Poweetank. It is fast and strong. Liquid CO2 releases as inert gas. One tank filling lasts a long time and will refill up to 20 35inch tires from 15 to 35 psi. You can get it refilled at any welding shop for about $20. Runs air tools and is portable (a buddy can carry it right to his own rig). It has gotten many great reviews from all of the off road mags, and has won many head to head tests and awards.

How many 35" tires can it fill from 15-20 lbs to 60-65 lbs ? I tow at max load & run my tires at 60 lbs all the time, except off-road. Just not comfy with x amount of air. Murphy loves to tag along sometimes.
