It's hard to tell because I almost can't hear anything besides the driveshaft and exhaust but I think it is 2 things based on my truck doing the same thing:

- Bypass Valves. This happens every time your shocks change direction. One valve closes, another opens. It's basically a steel ball bearing smacking an aluminum seat. This should be a "tick" sound. King has rubber coated valves, if you don't have them you can swap them in very simply although you have to de pressurize the shocks.

- too much rebound valving in the bypass zone. When you hit anything beyond a small bump, when your tires are at street pressure, your tires are very briefly leaving the ground, and when thy come back down they smack and make a lot of noise. Open up your rebound tubes a little bit to let the axle move down faster and that should go away. My truck does this all the time, even aired down. But I have a 20 stack in rebound so the axle comes out slower than yours.

I have the coated valves and never hear them.

I appreciate all the feed back. Damagewagon, sorry for the noise... no good place to put the GoPro and not lose it. Any way, I appreciate the feedback. I have the compression valve open about 4 full turns, thinking of more... still stiff. The rebound I have open maybe 1 turn. I think it is closed almost all the way. So you are saying I should open it more?

Holy crap, yeah open your tubes dude! I've got a King engineer with me for a few weeks ImageImageImage and he said you can get about 15 full usable turns out of the screws. As it is a valve, the very first movement had a much larger effect than the final turns. But one turn is almost closed. Open that thing up to 4 turns and see what you think. It usually takes about 2 full turns to feel the difference, and starting at 4 turns gives a good base point.

The rule of thumb on bypass shocks is that if the tubes are fully closed, you should revalve them stiffer, and if the tubes are full open you should revalve them softer.

The benefit of bypass shocks is that you can get a sweet ride overall and then have strong bottom out resistance when the shocks get close to the end of their stroke.

Very Nice! I'm going to Moab next month but we're renting a Jeep. I'll be without the PW. It looks like your doing quite a bit with stock height and high clearance bumper. Any problems with the rear?

If you rent a jeep in Moab. You are restricted to what trails you are allowed on. If you get caught or seen on a restricted trail. When you get back to the office to turn in the jeep. They will charge you big bucks. Been there. Fought it.

Go check out Barlow Jeep Rentals, she's a Power Wagon owner, did the training for Ram when they had the press event for the 2017 models. But what Rusty said probably makes sense.

As far as the bumper, the only thing I think we all have problems with is the hitch smacking things. I didn't have a bumper problem until I picked a bad line on Gold Bar rim.

I could do a lot of this with the stock bumper, but the high clearance means I dont' have to spend as much time spotting and I can pick something and try it, and it's ok if I mess up, which I have. I mentioned in my review of the bumper smacking stuff a lot as I learned what the new abilities are.

The only thing I find annoying right now is the sliders slapping on things my rockers wouldn't have even touched.
