This came out of a 2008 Dodge Charger. I had it in my 2006 for a few years. You may have read my build thread on it in DT back in 2010. Because I wanted my mirror UConnect to work, which this didn't support, I put the original REC back into it. This will work in any Dodge 2006 and newer car or truck with the Lockpick to adapt it into the system. But you must get your own microphone, which are cheap.

Or it can be used as a direct swap for any vehicle with an RER low speed CAN bus. To give you an idea, the high-speed CAN bus didn't start coming out until the 2010 Dodge Ram trucks. CAN = Computer Area Network.

I'll eventually be putting this on eBay, which may give me a few more bucks, but I thought to offer it here to our community, first.
New, the RER is about $400 to $500, depending on who you buy it from.
New, the Lockpick is about $300.

$400 total package, plus shipping (UPS).

I'll eventually put it on eBay for $500 plus shipping

I'm curious what you plan to get to replace it?

I did not get the RER radio because I also wanted my U-connect Mirror to work but never looked into any other options.

I had an REC, got another REC with the camera option, and the REC Lockpick. I don't think any options exist to use the UConnect mirror other than if you can pinout the microphone leads. Then again, if you disconnect the harness to the mirror, the day/night feature no longer works.

So, I have a non-camera option REC for sale, too, without the nav DVD. $350 plus shipping.

So with the REC has a camera option that you can lock pick to use forward and rear cameras as well as DVD while under way. The U-connect rear view mirror then works on this REC setup? Is the only difference no Nav... or do you lose other features? It still has aux in as well as USB and a hard drive correct? Are the connectors the and pin outs same for the OEM REF that I have and the REC. or is an adapter needed? Did you find a tutorial on line to help you figure out what was needed and what options you could use? Link?

What PN is the one I want to find.

There are two REC versions: one with the camera, and one without. The Lockpick will allow you to connect a 3rd camera, because if you don't have one, you won't have that specs harness and plug. That's partially why I got the camera REC and Lockpick. Also, I'm connecting TPMS to the aux1 video on the Lockpick. Cool addition. I'll post about that when I get it together.

Heads up, this is the one I was looking at. It has an AV RCA output that plugs into a DVD or other video player. The Lockpick gave me two additional inputs for additional cameras or.other video sources. This style screws and locks on to the current Schrader valve. I haven't quite decided to get it yet and may get the internal sensor version if I get new tires, which u think the transmitters are interchangeable. Still in research mode...
