The front King coilovers will arrive today,,, I went ahead and prepped the front for the conversion. I plasma cut the upper spring hanger an 1" wider all the way around, and drilled 3 new bolts through the new upper mount (blue) for a total of 6 grade 8 bolts per mount. I also installed and welded the lower mounts tabs and integrated the mount to the axle, to make the lower mount bullet proof with 1/4" thick tabs welded top and bottom. took about 1.5 hours per side. the picture shows the front axle sitting on its rubber bumpstps on the axle with 1" clearance on the airbumps for axle articulation.

Hey bud, I'm about ready to pull the trigger on a new aluminum radiator in the next week. Any word on the Ron Davis unit? I'm probably going to go with Griffin's direct fit unit because I can't drive this to Moab in it's condition.

Shit.... Sorry man, I completely forgot to tune you in on that.. I pulled my radiator and left it with them for measuring for 4 days, then went and picked it back up. Due to a ton of variables (mounting for the trans/powersteering radiators onto the actual radiator,,, He called me back and said the price to custom build THAT radiator for my application was going to be $1300 +/- for the radiator... I told him that I would let him know... I reinstalled my stock radiator, and have basically been too busy with the coil over conversion to worry about the radiator. I think it was too much $$.... So I guess I am back to the drawing board about how to get a bigger radiator in my rig.

If anyone has another alternative (or a lead on a larger radiator for the Hemi) please let me know.

I just looked at the Griffin radiator option, the specs look good, all aluminum, but it does not have any of the factory mounts for the transmission or the power steering cooler that mount to the factory radiator. I know it is not a big deal, but it would require some modifications to a very well built and reliable system that came from the factory in these trucks.

PitSlave, What year is your PW? I think 03-05 are the same "design" where the radiators are the same. 06-09 might be different. educate me.

2002~2009 are interchangeable.

Here is what I was considering on getting as a 2 row direct fit unit.

But for a little more money to get 4 rows is a better option for me. What are the size of the rows? On the Griffin unit they use 1¼" tubes for each row. That will total 2½" in cooling tubes. What will the tube size be on the Ron Davis units?

Use the direct fit option from Griffin. It has all the mounting and brackets. The link I posted earlier is the one ready to go.

Fronts are installed... Checked flex on both sides with ZERO binding and does not hit a damn thing!!!!!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!!!!!!!

Still have to adjust ride height and dial them in..

If anyone of ya'll want the specs and the build valving/layout of the Kings that I used, Along with the spring rates. and the BDS kit that I used,,let me know,, I did a shit ton of research for the front to make things work correctly (like the 1" extended bottom mount for starters to clear the factory bucket) and the fact that you need to get King to set up the bottoms for 5/8" and the upper for 1/2" along with measurements to make it match a basically 4" lift ride height. Took me well over 15 hours of research and working with King and Ben over at Filthy Motorsports

I have all the valving numbers, springs rates, and specs you need just in case anyone is feeling adventurous Might save you a ton of time..

Thanks 05!!!! I will only have 2 trail rides under my belt before Moab, so I hope that I can re-learn this truck quickly, now that it is a different truck altogether.... If you need the specs for the shock set ups (when you are ready to go coil-overs), just give me a shout.. Looking forward to seeing all the bad ass PW's in Moab......

And on the 97th Day,,,, God sent me my Shocks,,,,,, and it was GOOD>>>>>>

SOOOOOOO.......... I go out and test out everything, and it flexes like a dream.... Then I am sitting at a stop light,,, and look around, and there is NO cops... SO I figured I would go ahead and arm the Nitrous system, and see how the rear axle/suspension will handle the full HP of a Stroked 6.4L hemi, with a 175hp shot of Nitrous (totaling maybe just over 650hp total with NOS) MAN!!!!!! did it do GREAT ,,, Layed rubber for about 30ft, and as soon as she struck 2nd gear BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know right.:) .... Glad it happened now, and not in Moab,,, I would be next day air'ing to Moab if it happened during the event. I went ahead and ordered (3) Full Chromo 4130 axle shafts from Yukon Axle http://www.yukongear.com/ProductDetails ... rodID=7828 When I pulled the stock shafts to do the rear brake caliper conversion, I measured the stock shafts and they were the same length on both sides. Going to replace both sides with Chromo shafts, and keep the 3rd as a spare. (just in case any of you all break a rear shaft on Moab. I will have a spare:) Honestly,,,,I am surprised that the stock shafts held up as long as they have.... looking inside the axle tonight, I found that the stock shaft SHATTERED inside of the hub, so I am going to have a blast trying to save the rear hub, while trying to remove the broken shaft...

That sucks...we had to weld a long rod to a shaft in an axle tube to pull half an axle shaft. The welded a magnet with a caster to a different rod and ran it down the tube about 100 time to get all the peices...

That is one fine rear end lol. Sweet on rear shafts glad u got an extra for me lol. I've said I need to get some rear shafts but haven't done it mostly because I'm broke lol and they have held up great. Damn I love your truck I mean truggy lol.
