WOW!!!! Absolutely AWESOME pics!!!!!!! I am 100% kicking myself right now, I was going to go to Moab last month with a group of friends and I cancelled since it would make $$$ a little tight. I shoulda gone and just figured out the money issue later. DANG!!!! Looks like such an awesome trip! I think i'll just hook my computer up to my TV and sit really close so it seems like I am there when looking at your pics, LOL!!! Thanks for sharing the pics man! By the way, your truck looks freakin amazing with the new setup!!!!!
On a a side note, some questions: is your truck a manual or automatic? Have you regeared for the new tires or are you still at 4.56? How does it do with those big tires? Did you go hydro-assist? (Sorry for the barrage of questions, just trying to judge how much I should regret going with another set of 37s instead of 40s, LOL!)

Thanks for the compliments. Truck did great. I wheeled it pretty hard. Automatic trans, still 4.56 gears (works good but I will be rehearing or going with an Atlas transfercase in the future. Yes I have PSC hydro assist which works great. Very happy but want to do so much more to the truck but funds have run dry so gonna be a while until the next upgrade.RAM4ROKS wrote:WOW!!!! On a side note Moab is a must go on trip. Already want to go back. So many trails and so little time. Talked to a guy that has lived there for 28 years and wheels every weekend and hasn't been on every trail. I would love to live closer. Cost a ton but well worth it.

Re: 05 PW upgrades!!
That was Esculator on Hells revenge (awesome trail) little tight for a PW but got it done. I got where this guy got and I am sure I could have made it with a little bit of bed damage but wife said hell no. They made me back down then this guy got Ina major bind and I had to winch him up. Nice guy I am. I'm regretting just saying screw it and going all the way but didn't feel like being in the doghouse that early on the trip lol. That was really the only obstacle I backed down except for a hottub on Hells revenge that was ridiculous and impossible without stickies and a ton of horsepower and a cage when you didn't make it lolTwinStick wrote: Did you do the hill in the last pic with your PW ??????????????? Re: 05 PW upgrades!!
I've been telling people if you really love to wheel and go off roading, don't go to Moab. It will pull you in and never let go. There is no description for Moab other than Moab. It is mellow and extreme at the same time. In fact, it's difficult for me to see these pics and not want to go back tomorrow.....05PWrockcrawler wrote:Gonna be sad to leave Moab. ……

Re: 05 PW upgrades!!
Pictures do not do justice to Moab. The experience is amazing and everyone should go sometime in thier life (of course if you go you will be planning on going again before the trip is over). I've been wheeling my whole life and have been to a ton of wheeling places and parks and nothing compares to Moab. Wish I was there now instead of back to work. plus 3400 mile offroad trip and truck performed very well.

Re: 05 PW upgrades!!
I don't think that this could be said any better. I went for the first time last year, and I've been thinking about going back constantly! It's been annoying the crap out of my old lady. Apparently with one on the way, you shouldn't be thinking about holding her first birthday in Moab. Hmmm... seemed logical to me!Pit Slave wrote:I've been telling people if you really love to wheel and go off roading, don't go to Moab. It will pull you in and never let go. Re: 05 PW upgrades!!
Well wheeling at Hidden falls and went down a very tight trail with some buggies and an off camber spot and slid in to a tree and tore up the whole drivers side! Got it back to camp and did some body work on it to knock out most of the completely caved in door to at leAst get the window to roll up. Been really lucky wheeling of the years but it was bound to happen. Wife isn't gonna be happy when she sees it. I will probably buy a front and rear door from the junk yard. Not to concerned about the bed. But air blows threw front door (annoying) and rear door window won't work and it very difficult to open. Pictures don't show it very good plus silver hides it pretty good.

Need to fab up some tube doors so when I go wheeling in tight spots and a cage for sure. Will see what kind of damage we sustain later today!

Re: 05 PW upgrades!!
Popped the tail light on a very tight turn in a ravine where you have to climb a huge rock and then turn and drop into a water filled hole that swallowed my 40" tires lol. Had fun as hell. The drivers side got tore up from a tree on a trail that I shouldn't have made it through. Had to climb a steep embankment until you could go no further up because of a huge rock and turn a sharp left against a tree leaning bad towards drivers side. Did some very very tight and technical trails but truck did great except for body damage!
