Well to start with, if you have a gal that says "you need to take it wheeling" then you have a good GF there and you had better hold on to her

Finally moved to Indiana, smartbar was doing great no issues all the way here. Now that its been two weeks its back on but I think I know why. We live 5ft from the river and it flooded(was up to my armpits and im 5'7") I now know why the house is on stilts lol :). well the roads been flooded and I still had to go to work so I kept driving thru it, water was about to the nerf bars so not to bad. So I think I got moisture in the connects so I undid them and blew them out and greased fluid film all that good crap and still coming on..... ideas?

Hi, have you heard about this stuff called plasti cote? I think someone on this forum may have painted their wheels black with it, and I know that some guys are using it on some boat parts on another forum I'm on. It's only like 8 bucks for a spray bomb, and it goes right on shiny paint and chrome without scuffing it up first. I don't know how it lasts, but you can apparently peel it off if you don't like it. Haven't seen it myself in Canada, but it might be neat to try on your wheels.

The moisture could have caused a short circuit on the computer board. So even after all of your work to dry it out, grease and fluid film it if the circuit board is fried you may need another smart bar.

I like the dark. How does it effect lighting though?

the rears are fine for light output but the headlights on the other hand lol. the factory bulbs I could barley see 4ft ahead of me but I switch to the blue bulbs the really bright ones and now its basically normal haha but I drive in the dark maybe once a month so im not to worried about it specially since I have my kcs and live out in the sticks :)

I will get pictures up here sometime when I have a decent internet connection I promise, but.....
I sanded and repainted both axles today, and did something I was really unsure about. I baked my 2nd pair of headlights apart to paint the inside black, I wasn't sure at first but deceided hell its my spare pair, im gunna try it lol and it accually was really easy. 250degrees for 10min and a screwdriver they were apart. I hope these turn out a lot better then tinting them haha.
also I played in my yard today with the lockers and swaybar everything is working good so I think im ready for the badlands offroad park trip some guys and I are taking soon.
since im buying a house the budget is pretty low for the PW but once we move and get settled in we will have more money (rent is more then our new mortage) lol and I think I will be doing the following
trac bar
new shocks
steel driveshaft and all ujoints on the PW
tint windows
sell my chip and get a programmer
then 35s and rims
oh and hardwire my lockers but again im alittle worried about screwing it up and then ruining my truck

I sold it to a guy and he put it on his ford :/ but it was very strong surprisingly lol pretty crappy welds but im not going to complain for a 120dollar welder.

BE sure that if you are not using the Carli (upgraded ball joints) BE SURE TO USE THE MOOG greaseable units from advance auto parts (about $280 for the set) They are tough as shit, and cheaper than the Carli units. Also, be sure to put TIMKEN bearing units in!!!!! any other cheaper units will fail quickly..

so about a month ago I switch jobs, I now work at a Chrysler jeep dodge dealership. the guys there love my truck and everyone accually knows what a powerwagon is. now my boss wants the truck on his lot but its hard to sell since I owe 10300 still but anyways. we got a 2013 PW in Thursday and I can honestly say that hands down I would take my 3rd gen over the new 4th gen anyday. the sit so low and I see what you guys mean about light output on them I drove the 4th gen for 2days and I was happy to get back into my truck.
