There. Two little sparks with my baby mig and it's located and aligned. Now I'd like to take the credit for the next part but I have no experience welding chromo and in going to leave it to a professional. Especially on a joint that sees 100% of the vehicles front end lateral loads. I'll keep you posted as it continues

Looks awesome sir! Consider running a strap of steel from the top of the bar around the joint to the bottom, I've seen a lot of desert guys do it for added insurance.

I'm not sure I would need to go that far. But I may build some short gussets to go from the top of bar to top of joint and same for the bottom. Or just make some length wise weld beads extra thick running from bar to midway up joint. Shall see. It's gonna be strong either way

No I've been unable to get it to the shop. Ended up driving 400miles in the opposite direction on Friday and now Monday is a holiday. Hopefully this week I'll get it there

Can't wait to hear how it goes.

Do you want to come down here and move all our things to Oregon for us? It sounds like you have a much easier time driving long distance than I do lol

Haha. I used to love driving. Would make any excuse sometimes to go anywhere. Now I just do it because I have to. Body isn't as young either. I went to the hydro assist because my hands would fall asleep while driving and would be killer sore every day on our shitty roads. The hydro relieved a ton of that force and it's made it enjoyable to drive again. mind you when I get out of the province the roads are a ton smoother and it's not so bad. Sometime in my lifetime I'm gonna make a big road trip though and make it through Moab and every other place I read about from you guys. Have to make a pw tour lol. Like a big biker gang but instead just wagons. With the goal of helping Canada get warmer of course lol

I hate my drive to work because everything is industrial, but I loved driving yesterday through all these new green fields that were recently installed throughout California lol. We might take the 395 for our move and stay out in the pretty boonies.

I chose to live in the boonies too. With the only down side being a 70 mile /118km commute one way to work. And that's where the closest Walmart is lol

  right on reloader! That's how you get your monies worth. Once I get to the shop I just use a work truck depending where the site is sometimes making my ass time in the driver seat another couple hrs a day. This is what happened to my last commuter car. It finally calls it quits at just under half million km

I had one of those back in high school. That was a nice little car. Mitsubishi Eclipse or Eagle Talon? Turbo model?
