WOW, bright! Do they come on when the truck goes in reverse, or wired separately on a switch, or both?
Wired them into the reverse circuit. Seems like work to have to remember to flip a switch lol
Ha. Well I suppose it could be handy once in a while to have the lights on WITHOUT the truck in reverse.
Yes but I had to have the most installed in an hour. No time for fancy wiring then. Later I'm going to change them up. Likely will get a better flood pattern and change the out later. These though have been awesome so far though

It's nice to see you working on your truck without snow as the primary background in your pictures.
It is ridiculously awesome having the shop now. After so many years lying on my back in a snow suit (cause dodges always break when it's coldest out) finally can just coast around in a sweater. Have some tunes and NO WIND!!!!

Progress!!! The uprights are 5/16 steel and the eventual body will be 3/16. Lots to go but the uprights clear the grill when the hood opens. Barely. Winch has about an inch of clearance behind it before it contacts the ac condenser.

Yep. Winch and cradle. And 120lbs ish of steel. But no worse than guys running ranch hand bumpers or fab fours

Hello hello!! Probably the only time the paint is going to look new. Ever. But it's done! I'm keeping it like this. Picked up 2 sets of dot/sae fog lights from rigid. One set is set up as proper fogs and the second is tied into the high beam circuit shooting on the same plane as the high beams but playing out to near 90°. They work awesome. I also have a pair of vision x Optimus helping out the basic range of the high beams. They and the secondary rigids are tied into high beams and function only with them. I cut up a spare factory fog light wiring harness and tied the main set of rigid fogs into the factory system. It works flawlessly and the overall patterns are excellent. Especially compared to the factory. Bumper is pretty much done. I still have to drill in 2 holes for the recovery shackles but aside from that it's done for now. The winch is all wired up using the factory pw harness. When it acts up I'll thermal bypass but untill then it's good. The positive cable was too short by 2 inches. So I bought a short 8" connector designed for connecting batteries.
I would estamate the bumper weighs about 150lbs based on a semi rough estimate of plate by the square foot. The winch and cradle is another 150-160ish. You notice the weight but it's made the front ride smoother so I won't complain. The front sagged about 3/8" overall from having no bumper at all.
I am happy!! And hope to never have to do this again.
Well I still have to do the rear bumper..... here's some final pics and some beam shots a single rigid unit

You’ve done more in a weekend with cardboard, grinder, flux core than several serious companies have with years of design, CAD, laser cutting and forming.

The important stuff is done. Passport and those American pesos. Sliders and redoing steering is on the agenda.
