Bought her in Sept. 2017, an Arizona truck. I hope to do some amazing things with her once the warranty runs out. Between this forum and the actual facebook pages dealing with PWs, I have learned alot, and hope to continue learning!

So far...testing the waters mods...

JHD Lighting sideview mirror mod
Added USB outlets to the back seat areas...left and right...
Volant CAI
American racing wheels with Mastercraft MXTs 35×12.5×17 tires

Sweet truck. Welcome to the club! You are going to have fun. Thanks for your service. I spent my time at Ft. Carson in an M1A1 back in the day.

Welcome, congrats on the new to you Power Wagon! Does everything function properly, winch, lockers, sway-bar disconnect, etc? What are your initial impressions thus far?

So far so good, everything seems to work as advertised, the previous owner took good care of her. It initially had 21,000 miles on it, and I have put another 12,000 since September 17.

Used the winch to pull a little 2wd patriot out of the southern Idaho mud, winch pulled it out with no issues, except having to keep rpms up. My first winching, so lesson learned.

I got her before hunting season last year, so off we go to near the Oregon border, about a 3 hour drive from Boise, and a 21ft toyhauler with my 2 quads. ( For reference, I used my 03 H2 for this run in previous years, burned half a tank for the trip, 6.0 vortec) It pulls like a champ....figure 4750lbs of trailer and add 1200lbs of quads, gear, and water...not heavy, but not bad. I come out using just under half a tank, and since ive drawn cow elk and turkey, ill be heading that way again this year. It snowed early last season, so, for fun I locked it up and used the disconnect for the swaybar to climb into a few areas I havent been before...everything worked perfectly.

All in all, I am glad my wife talked me into getting this beast, and hope to learn even more!

I assume you bolted the receivers to the mounting plate that the factory rings were bolted to? If so, beware, that factory mount is not as strong as you might hope. They will likely bend and deform if you use one of your hooks as a sole recovery point.

If you beefed up the factory ring mount, please share what you did.

Thanks for the tip, no, I did not beef them up, but...now I know and have another project, besides, I dont think I want to use them as a sole recovery point, but as an additional. Appreciate the feedback!

Is there some big picture reason you did this? Looks like putting adapter adapters on your adapter to me.

Rubicon belongs to a fellow Instructor, not sure his setup, but he is dying to get his pavement princess to MOAB. He and his wife are jeep fans, and he has dine all the work himself, at least I think he has. Please dont ask if he has experience in these things, im pretty sure its "oooooh look at that!"....and it ends up on the jeep.

As for Bertha, I was just playing around...the ramp is really for boresighting the Tanks, and well, one thing led to another....

Never seen a steel plumb and sync ramp (we had concrete ramps at Hood), but I was asking about the frame horn to hitch receiver to hitch adapter to shackle setup.
