XOTCXs 2017 Tradesman.

Post by xonetruthcrewx » Mon Sep 25, 2017 11:12 am

Been wanting a Ram 2500 for a long while. Tired of spending money on re-gearing and lockers with previous vehicles the PowerWagon is obviously the perfect fit. With my previous truck (2014 Nissan Titan Pro4x) only seating five, the arrival of our fourth child earlier this year made upgrading to the Ram a necessary reality. Haha.

I honestly didn't even realize that there was an option for a 'non-PowerWagon' PowerWagon. When I did I was stoked (I really dislike graphics). Found the properly spec'd truck, sold the Titan in two days time and set out to grab my new PowerWagon. The Monday after acquiring the truck I ordered a shell, wheels and tires. As is she's pretty set for what I want. There will definitely be a few more additions slowly but surely though...

Completely stock.
Image

Wheels/Tires. AEV Salta wheels with Cooper ST MAXX 35x12.5.
Image

Wheels/Tires and Leer 100xl shell.
Image

Whispbars crossbars and a Yakima MegaWarrior basket.
Image

Just seeing how the big girl flexes. Not bad for such a huge rig!

Next up, gonna line-x the bumpers. Then a full stereo. Then a snorkel. Other than those items I would really like a James Baroud Evasion RTT. Thing is pricey though and it'll take some serious convincing of the wife! All in all though I am super stoked on this thing!

Nice looking truck. I have a 2016 Tradesman Paper truck as well.... Nice addition. I was torn between the Saltas and the Methods I wound up getting.... Looks like I would have been fine either way. Congrats !

Thanks guys! I really wanted to run 37s but the kids really struggle to get into the truck on their own even with the stock 33s, haha. Had to compromise this go around but when these wear out... 37s!

With the weight of the shell the truck now sits with a 1.5" rake which definitely looks good with the 35s. By the time I'm ready for new tires I hoping I can convince the wife that I NEED a full suspension upgrade! Haha.

Nice! The line-ex bumpers will really tie it all in for sure. The chrome bumpers always seemed out of place to me on the tradesmans.

You might as well sneak in some WK sliders while your at it... you know, so the family can get in easier

That is a great looking truck. If I got a new one, that is exactly what I would get. I am loving our ARE MX series cap though, no windows just body colored win-doors. I am also rocking the factory chrome front bumper & a Yakima Load Warrior rack on the cap.

Nice looking truck. Love the look of the shell, personally i like it without the roof rack. But sweet truck for sure. I am always torn between graphics on or off but yours definitely looks good. Congrats on the new truck and the new baby.

Thanks! And yeah, looked cleaner without the basket but it comes in handy at times. Function>fashion... haha.

Took a couple weeks off from work for the holidays and finally had the time to pull the bumpers and have them sprayed with line-x. I feel like it should have come this way from the factory...

This past weekend was my good friends birthday and we used it as an excuse to go to Sedona and ride bikes. Wheeling Sedona has been on my list since 05 when I built my first rig and I wasnt about to not do a little wheeling while I was there. So... Broken Arrow.

Definitely on the list! I'm only an hour and a half from White Knuckle too so I can just go pick them up. My issue... wife put me on an allowance some time ago and between bikes, guns and the truck I'm spread pretty thin and I need to save up. Haha.

And if anyone cares, drivers perspective of going down Devils Staircase. Nothing too serious (although my buddy thought I was going to die) but it was definitely fun.
