That’s hot!

You did not need the ring gear spacer for your front gears correct?

The shop and Nitro said it did need one to work with the ARB

Finally got around to biting the bullet and picking up some free spins to button up the front end

Ha...I honestly probably should have gone with a 3", especially since Thuren has king 3.0 short bodies now. But there is nooo way I'm completely re-doing the suspension right now. Thuren LT leafs, getting the rear carli shock mounts finally thrown on, front glass on along with Thuren's bumper. Also will be studding and might do a little messing with the transmission to beef it up but we'll see.

There are some reeeallly nice compound turbo set ups I keep coming back to but I'd prefer not to have to buy a new transmission right now

Oh shit! Nice man nice!!! Trans would definitely be a good idea bud even just a line pressure boost kit is easy to do on the 68 from Sonnax. Ups pressure 15-30psi across all gears for a bit of piece of mind and it’s literally a piggy back harness that goes in in about five minutes. Can’t wait to see it with the glass done I think that’s the route I’ll eventually go with the p.wagon as well. Lol why don’t you blow the first turbos up then get compounds!

Yeah, I've got my trans line pressure maxed out right now for what the factory valve body can take through my tuner...has definitely helped with the shifts and like I said trying to not kill the transmission right now if I can help it.

There's a compound kit that uses the factor VGT turbo and keeps the exhaust brake...which I love but thats still a ways off most likely.

Yeah the glass should look pretty good with the 40's and thuren bumper. Will be getting the bumper powder coated matte black to match the grill and how the factor bumper is now. I know the right answer is to get the glass color matched to the body but kind of want to see what they would look like matte as well

Do you have a standard Thuren 4th Gen bumper? If you do, 40's will not work with it.

The same reason 40's won't work with the stock bumper or OE fenders, there's not enough clearance. Look at side profile pictures of the bumper with stock fenders and flares.

Are you talking at full stuff they'll contact? I'll have to do a little measuring to see exactly how much up travel I have until I'm hard on the boogies but just from eye balling it and the side profiles you're right, looks like it'll be close but man it only be when really slamming the front end

I think he’ll be fine. This is full stuff with 6” lift drop blocks for the bumps at full compression with a 37” Toyo so a 40 would be fine considering beryl is running a 6” kit as well. The drop blocks for the boogies are 2” so they add quite a bit of fender clearance compared to a 3” kit stuffed and in all honesty if he runs into frame horn issues or the side pieces of the Thuren bumper giving him problems just cut the fuckers off and reweld plugs on the ends.

Thanks lee, good to have ya back! Yep...not like I won't already be cutting shit off left and right so why stop at the bumpers if need be.

Oh yeah...the good stuff is starting to roll in. Can't wait to see the difference between Thuren's leafs and the Atlas's I'm running now.

Finally making progress on the truck...new ring and pinion in the rear. Turns out the shop that installed the gears didn't torque down the crush sleeve correctly and as a result allowed the pattern to essentially be fucked. Working now to get the original shop to reimburse me. Dynatrac hubs are on, glass is somewhat fitted, and LT leafs are on. Turns out the 40"s are going to be an epic pain in the ass to completely clear at cycle

Even with 6" of lift you need to cut out the front of the cab, the rear of the front fender, and the rear of the front bumper. Lee's photo's are directly from the side, eventually you have to turn though. 40's fit the rear with almost no trimming.

Has been forever since I've been on here...had to get the rear end re-done by a shop that actually knows what they're doing. Still need have a lot to do but its certainly fun
