Gotcha. I would love to have a full time truck gun but I think those days are past. Hi Reloaderguy - love your truck, new PW owner and wanting to go with 37"s, wondering about your comment about the x13.5 vs x12.5 - would the wider x13.5's have fit the same as the x12.5 or would more trimming have been required? Also, I am a complete newb when it comes to backspacing and offset...I really like the AEV Katla wheels which AEV shows as being 6" backspacing...would that size backspacing bring the wheels/tires further in or out from the wheels you choose? Do you think the 6" of backspacing would create more or less trimming required? Ive trimmed plastic finder liners before but never metal/pinch welds...a little intimidated.

Thanks for the info reloaderguy! I'm thinking about the Coopers over the Toyo MTs as I don't really need a full MT tire. I think I remember from your build thread (but might be remembering incorrectly) that you trimmed the pinch welds? I've never done that before...how do you do that? Dremel or grinder? Since I have never done that, it's a little intimidating I haven't looked around for all the 37x13.5 options yet either so might be other or better choices than the Coopers.Reloaderguy wrote:

The 12.5" Toyo RT's mounted on a 17x9" wheel with +18mm offset do not rub the radius arms or sway bar and there is enough clearance for 14" wide Toyo MT's. If and when I decide to go to a wider tire I will probably need to take a little more out of the pinch weld. I don't see much of a performance difference with the AEV, it's just .5" narrower.

I used an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel and then smoothed it out with sanding discs. I painted the exposed metal when I was done. My truck was about three weeks old when I did it. My neighbors were driving by as sparks were flying of my brand new truck, they must have thought I was insane. I like the AEV wheels well enough, my understanding it they are made by Wheel Pros (KMC's parent company). Your truck looks great!
I'm not sure about the wheels yet, I just like the AEV Katla look but if there are other sizes that for better, open to that.

The factory sway bar in this truck is ridiculous. I'm not sure if I'm going to buy an aftermarket bar or just leave out the link permanently but I doubt I'll ever go back to factory. The side to side harsh slingshot is irritating beyond belief.
