I spoke to Titan a while back, after seeing how much fuel this pig used on a trip. The spare tire tank fits, you would need to either add a 2nd fuel door in the bedside, or someplace inside the bed. It's not DOT approved for gas, only diesel like all auxiliary fuel tanks apparently (had no idea. The rep was very clear when he said although it is labeled only for use with diesel, it will pump any "liquid" you fill it with.

It is all about liability & "paying the man". I checked into this in NY State. In order for it to be 100% legal in NY State, not only does it have to be DOT approved but also has to be installed by a NYS DOT approved installation center (at that time there were only 4 in NY State) and their cost they said would be a "minimum of $2000 !!! He said they were backed up 4 months wait time !!! Basically, they can charge whatever they want because they are the only game in town & they know it.

I thought that peeling up the diff covers and losing gear oil wasn't really that big of a problem and wouldn't happen to me. I changed gear oil front and rear, and the next weekend when we were in Johnson Valley I plopped the truck into a silt bed, high enough to be halfway up the driveshaft. Just moving forward and then reversing from the silt was enough to peel BOTH diff covers up. Now they both leak... And will until my next oil change.

I think the cover is a very worthy investment for that reason. In terms of protection, I'm not so worried. My front diff cover is pretty smashed in from rocks and they still didn't cause leaks or touch the ring gear. The Carli covers are a good price though.

I've debated the rear, when I get to it I'll probably buy an entire diff cover.

Autel Maxsys. I rented the computer from a member on Cummins Forum. There is a 100pg+ thread in the 4th Gen section. Instructions are on page 76. The member's SN is 4x4x4door. You'll have to get on the waiting list unless there is a member closer to you with a device. If you'd rather buy a device you can get them on Amazon for $1200.

Wow, you've been busy! I'd like to lift the front of my truck at some point but think I'm going to stick to the p0 boy overland shocks. A while back I was under the impression there'd be an optional shock for $450/pair to split the difference but haven't seen any updates on Don's page. Not in anything close to a hurry so if they aren't available for another 6 months won't matter much to me.

That price is on par with his Fox shocks. The Kings he will be coming out with will cost more than the Foxes. You could lift the truck and keep your Overlands on.

The fox shocks are $280/pair. I recall these being something different. Again, in no hurry just curious if the "something different" shocks had been released.

A while back I asked for seat bolt specs for the driver's side front bolts but didn't get any responses. The answer was M8x1.25. I've been working on a driver's side holster that either does not require drilling or is supported by the tub. I'm not opposed to drilling but I'd rather not if possible. After pulling the center console I came to the conclusion that attaching a holster to the plastic next to the transfer case shifter doesn't provide enough support for a loaded handgun bouncing down a rough dirt road. Ram Mounts happens to make a series of 1" ball mounts with a M8 center bolt so I replaced the seat bolt and ordered a 6" Ram Mount arm. The holster is a hard mount Dara custom kydex holster for a G20 and TLR1 light with 1" Ram Mount. You can move the holster around as well as change the arm to a different length if required for seating position. The mount is very solid.

I haven't done any drills yet but can already tell this is faster than drawing from a belt holster. Drawing doesn't require leaning over or moving from the relaxed seated position. The pistol is slightly below the seat and does not contact my legs. I can draw without sweeping my extremities or the passenger.

Here is the 1" ball attached to the seat frame:

Here is the mount adjusted with the seat moved rearward:

With the seat adjusted, does not contact the console or seat:

Sweet mount! I like the fact that it involves no drilling/cutting yet it is sturdy and ideally positioned! Nice work!!!

I've had this in my garage for a couple of months. Decided to put it on. The first two wraps went on perfect, the rest is less than ideal but will get pulled out anyway. The rope came with correctly sized bolt, a minimum safe wrap indicator, and 10' abrasion guard. I haven't used it yet but the quality looks good at this point, I wasn't comfortable with cheaper Chinese ropes.
